ok after last 2 months of carpentry and commercial projects in my team, concensus is that milwaukee is way way better than bosch of the same type of tool.

QUOTE(shadow_walker @ Aug 30 2018, 12:00 PM) oklar u got a point i think support is good. and heard waranty is very long. btw hows milwaukee support in malaysia. quite new in market right. if not for archidex i wont know of milwaukee i didnt buy them for my own use but my carpenters do swear by them.(they buy their own high end tools) so when they do my projects, for site installation etc build and install custom cabinets, i can see how well they perform. |

QUOTE(lucifah @ Sep 11 2018, 11:56 AM) shh... kenot say milwaukee rip off, later milwaukee marah milwaukee is really good la. some of their 12v has the capability quite comparable to bosch base model 18v while being lighter for on site jobsbut damn bosch, lazy ass manufacturer never do new powertools. keep refining the old ones saja. i want my 18V coffee maker & 18V powered tractor for god sake! more and more moving away from bosch cos bosch lembik. anyway cutting 2inch white oak no problem with budget "homedepot" grade 18v saw. below pic to show the 2inch thick timbe. it was finished of at the table saw, not ryobi. QUOTE(yushin @ Sep 8 2018, 07:37 AM) Saw this new circular saw from worx while browsing taobao. cool featureVery interesting feature that enable you to cut flush line with the guide. Good for DIYer that doesnt have a table saw? only issue, is it needs 9inches overhang. cos the saw is riding on the waste piece side. so ie your waste piece can be 8-9inches. cant trim 1-2-3mm etc. (like festool/makita/dewalt track saw) |

QUOTE(ijan @ Sep 17 2018, 10:19 PM) most of the time ppl would just use a mitre saw for that, you HAD to use the panel saw, haha! haha can send you abit if you want. no problem. will be cutting some of those woods this week. You sell those woods you letak gambar just now? Hard for me to get those woods in Kuching, Sarawak. Either warping meranti, kapot and durian tree, and then the beastly boring belian wood (tight uniform grain) but freight to swk is expensive. as for mitre saw.. spent too much time fixing the blade wobble and not getting perfect 90deg.. too much wasted time on that issue, once the panel saw is in the house, gotta kaukau use it..even if just to do edge trimming |

QUOTE(ijan @ Sep 17 2018, 10:27 PM) i can arrange cargo freighter, provided price is good (altough i dun think its going to be nice, haha!!) Say a nicely planed dried 2x8 of your white oak, whats the length and the price? haha, maybe just as a sample block. 500gm, thanks for the offer, but what can i do with 500gm anyway, i think freighter thing not so cost effective for woods..haha. i hav some 2x8, length is 10-12feet. price i didnt count yet as its booked for a hotel project and ordered 2 months ago. will check again with supplier with post sales tax prices when i order next shipment. |

QUOTE(paskal @ Sep 18 2018, 09:22 AM) its there in most mitre saws. (include slide or stationary ones)especially the first 2-3seconds of start up. the blade vibration can be felt. we are talking about 0.X deg run off |

QUOTE(ijan @ Sep 17 2018, 10:37 PM) yaa, you do that later inform me. Just for reference. oic, that means around 8.5k per tan2x8x12ft of Belian would cost me rm220++ here. But that wood is heavy and boring. i think shorter pieces (1x4 x 3feet) of belian can be bought around 4-5k per tan. i think i have some belian. use for batten or hidden parts of the project to provide strength to the frame, should be no problem but not as main feature like front face of drawer or table top.. too boring. |

QUOTE(^pomen_GTR^ @ Sep 25 2018, 06:02 PM) thats quite wide 12inches and moredont think many suppliers will have ready stock for that. most people will joint them with 3-4inches wide strips and make them wider. if you can accept that..then its doable up to 7-8feet lengths |
