Are there ways to get the dewalt dwe 745/7480 table saw in Malaysia?

Wanna get those with rack & pinion fence.

Those sold on shopee & lazada (dwe7470-B1) are pretty much Stanley table saw with dewalt label, I think.

Too bad can't get sawstop in Malaysia though.
*
I don't think so. Even if you can find one it will not be covered by warranty because it is not for Malaysia market.

No, the Dewalt is not the rebadged Stanley. Stanley sliding slot is non standard and Dewalt miter gauge cannot fit inot Stanley. Not sure why Stanley does that.

Ah..

I would've thought so as Dewalt is a subsidiary for Stanley Black & Decker. So re-appropriating one product as another in different region/market won't be too far fetch.

These two look alike to be to say the least, but I suppose the color scheme plays a huge role in shaping perception.

Guess I'll just need to import in the DWE745 from the European market next time I'm around then. "Need" that rack & pinion fence badly. laugh.gif Sawstop is just too unreachable for now.
*
Stanley merged with Black and Decker in 2010, but Dewalt was acquired by Black and Decker way back in 1960. So, it is more like serious DIY version of Dewalt under Stanley badge. Black and Decker is for occasional home DIY.

There are many review on the 745 vs 7480. Even with same motor, the 745 has slightly less ripping power with lower rpm probably due to compactness in design.

Now there are newer model than 7480 which is worth a look. smile.gif

Where Cheapest deal for bosch cordless? Shopee or any hardware shop to intro?
*
If you compare around, you can find online is cheaper than hardware shop because from time to time the platform like Shopee and Lazada subsidize the selling price to the shop. If you go to the shop that sell online also, they cannot give you the advertised price. You have to purchase through internet smile.gif

Just make sure the shop is selling the local manufacturer warranty product. Some very cheap price offered, the product is warrantied only by that shop, meaning the product cannot be service under warranty in authorized service center.

Note: Don't forget to put into account the shipping cost also laugh.gif

my advice is... dont start. it's addictive. unless, you're making a living with it... but the itch is still there. how i end up with 5 cordless drill driver, i dont know. dont ask. it just happens
*
When you have one and compare with other, you like something about it and think well maybe I need another one that I don;t need to change the bit and so on laugh.gif

Then you think you need this and that too even though you probably use it for 10 min in a year sweat.gif

At least I can still control my desire tongue.gif

Manual says so but i couldnt find any washer in the box and seller say no, just wanted to be sure before i start cutting stuffs and wobble later worse still if blade cabut when cutting. Bought the okatz 10"

On the diagram it says:
When you use a saw blade with aperture 25, mount a 25 washer on shaft ...

I don't have a miter saw but it is sad that the one you bought did not come with any washer.

I believe it is like circular saw too, sometimes saw blade has bigger hole than fitting post on the saw, thus you need to put washer (well it is called bush, like metal ring). It is to reduce the hole size to fit in snugly into the blade post.

I believe you can buy easily but not sure if some blades come with them when you buy one. The one I bought, none but the blade I bought has same hole size with the post. So, you don't need to put one.

I've got a Bosch GBM 320 with chuck capacity 0.5-6.5mm dia. I want to cut a 30mm hole through a porcelain tile. I bought the cutter saw and measured the shank of the cutter saw - it is 11mm dia. & cannot fit into the Bosch.
Any sifu can advise what I should do?
*
There are chuck adapter like this but the best probably would be buying a new drill with more capability at least like having hammer function instead. Probably the adapter is not that expensive but I'd say the price probably worth investing on another tool in my opinion smile.gif

I'm not sure if there is one with size 6.5mm. More common 10mm maybe hmm.gif

Guys, I have a Bosch cordless GSB18 V-EC impact drill for general usage for my house but it's not able to drill through concrete. Can suggest me Bosch corded hammer drill that at least drill thru concrete? Just few cm to mount wall plug for picture frame, picture ledge, nothing heavy.

Is GBH 2-28D ok? Or overkill?

Want to try something new?

Get this

https://www.lazada.com.my/products/worx-wu3...u11efirad52dcng

It is cordless. Brushless Motor. Has mode for tile drilling. Normal Drill Hammer and Chisel.

More comfortable to handle than Bosch and light weight. Easily operate single hand.

I did not own one but I tried. Drop from 2m also will not break as demonstrated by the distributor where I repair my pressure pump laugh.gif

Just to to shop selling this and try. Price about the same as the Bosch model you interested in. smile.gif

Technically about the same cost after add 2nd battery 4AH to match the worx set, but if he has existing 18V batt n charger then no need invest new system again  laugh.gif as bare tool should be 350-400 (nowadays also brushless for GBH180-LI) - see the BL sticker at bottom of tool

If already have existing battery probably not, but compare to the Bosch, this one much comfortable to handle. Much less effort holding it straight to avoid front end from tilting down. Pressing it to the wall while drilling did not hurt your hand like Bosch.

Unfortunately I have already had my Makita laugh.gif

As you know the SDS is something that have some play when you fit into the the drill. So, using the chuck adapter you can expect a bit of wobbling in your drill bit. It is not as precise as having drill with normal chuck biggrin.gif

Thank you Zot and ceo684

Was thinking of either GSR 180-LI or GSR 18V-50 for general screwdriving work and minor drilling.

For concrete drilling, was thinking of GBH 2-26 DRE or GBH 2-26 DFR.
The metal frame will be mounted to concrete walls and some other drilling stuff to concrete... would need around 38 holes for concrete. so, was planning to get the GSR 180-LI or GSR 18V-50 for minor drilling and screwdriving and either the GBH 2-26 DRE or GBH 2-26 DFR for concrete drilling. Will generally be drilling to a max of 12mm holes in the concrete for the anchor bolts.

These models would be sufficient right? or would there be another better brand out there?  basically i choose bosch coz there are the most sold and my current tools are bosch. they did last more than 5 years. or more than 10. was also looking at quaza (or quasa or qaza) for the cheaper price. not sure if its okay though.
*
I'd say if you are on cordless, you may want to stick on one brand because battery is expensive to invest in several brand smile.gif

I don't know anything about Quasa. Probably just local brand made in China?

Between GSR 180-LI or GSR 18V-50, I'd go with the later brushless DFR.

For GBH 2-26 DRE or GBH 2-26 DFR, the DFR advantage would be on the quick change chuck for non-SDS wood and metal drilling.

They are more than adequate for even weekly DIY and will serve more that 5 years smile.gif

Just start learning all these DIY things recently and bought a BOSCH GSB 180-LI Cordless Impact Drill

After bought then only search that there are differ motor type ?

Brushless <--- what's this actually eh ?

Will the model i mentioned above more than enuf for house DIY and long term? The battery given though is 1.5A
*
Brushless itself is not new but recently more popular in power tool. Normal motor has carbon brush which will wear out someday. However, it can be easily replace. Brushless motor has no carbon brush thus no need to change anything. However it is more expensive, just like anything newly introduced into market biggrin.gif

For occasional DIY like you and me, no big deal. I have not wear out any carbon brush yet for many year. Maybe you will use more than me. Even every weekend use also will last more than 5 years perhaps. By that time there are new model wihich is probably better than current brushless one laugh.gif

You can google youtube and seach for brushless power tool whatever.

whoa never know there is such a thread! i trying to start a wood working hobby but i stay in a linked houses, the only thing that holding me back is worry on these tools like table saw, miter saw will be extremely loud, and neighbours complain like mad.... how you all solve this issue? or u guys have a workshop for that?
*
It is not like you do business cutting wood continuously for hours. I think most would not bother much.

You can only solve problem for yourself by using ear plug laugh.gif

Ahh, i see, thanks for the explain..

So the one i bought is not a brushless motor, right?

But yea, i not sure how deep will i get for this kind of "hobby" and how long XD

Guess general maintenance will last me quite long enough.
*
Yes, not a brushless, but perhaps you end having 2 drivers when hate to change from 1 bit to another bit.

Example: You want to drill many holes in in brick wall and then put wall plug and then screw. You will find that you want to have one with screw driver bit and one with drilling bit.

Me first buy normal hammer drill. Then get more powerful hammer drill (gave old one to dad in home town). Then later much faster to use rotary hammer drill and end up buying one. Yes the hammer drill has speed control but still too fast and cannot control torque. So end up buying drill driver yes.... my first cordless one.

You started late and get to find more option and versatile tool biggrin.gif

the pro is the website is very good and many variety to choose from

True. Very convenient. The price is not about shipping but also convenience like 7-11.

The price can b 4 or 5x higher on electronic components. I'm in contract manufacturing and familiar with the pricing wink.gif

if the price fit then ok la, if not just find else where
little quantity cannot compare price
*
Yes. you can see the more quantity there the price drop fast, but I was trying to tell you it is still expensive.

However for people like you and me. It worth since no need to go shop and search. Not big qty. Like one stop for most if not all stuff wink.gif

I also don't mind buying things hard to find.

Was looking for cordless power drill for some drill on tile to install curtain rails, some hanger on the door/ wall perhaps maybe some concrete or drill some mosaic / tiles . Now looking on Bosch GSB120-LI.. Does it able full fill my work easily..?
*
Sure it will do the job. Just use tile bit for tile and masonry for wall for best result.

Talking about wall, I meant cement layer brick wall. Concrete is something different. It is not easy to drill with this impact drill. As you know concrete is mix of cement and gravel stones. If the drill bit lands on hard stone, you need more than sweat to drill through if it moves. laugh.gif Concrete need rotary hammer type smile.gif

If you are not much into concrete but more on house wall (not beam or column), then the one you choose will be just fine. Do consider GSR 18V-50 too. More up to date brushless motor but about twice the price.

Ok noted smile.gif
Actually I also considering the GSR 18V-50 as they now doing promotion with Extra battery and Bosch drill bits for RM420..
For tile drill, usually choose which mm is the best? About the wall plug wood or plastic better?
*
Plastic or wood(?) does not matter I think. I think the plug is made of jute until now plastic become common.

My plug fit nicely with 6mm concrete drill and so I have the 6mm tile bit as well. smile.gif
