already months having volte, you need to contact them to enable volte manually. Unless for Mega subs, it will activated automatically.

PREVIOUSLY:
Few months ago, requested for my mom on legacy postpaid plan. Denied.
Can't remember which legacy BLUE plan, but it's below RM38/RM45/RM48. They required postpaid to upgrade to expensive Mega plan.

I'm still holding to see how Celcom is gonna continue taking advantage of 3G shutdown to coerce postpaid to upgrade.

Just wait... everyone will get VoLTE for free. Else MCMC will get super angry.

I am contacted them via Twitter, activated few minutes later. Before that called 1111 but they rejected as volte is only for Mega subs.

That is my hope. Not upgrading to pay twice or thrice the current bill.
But writing it out to show how Celcom is playing underhanded tactic to coerce upgrade. They didn't provide clear information about VoLTE facility back then and still don't, instead just saying legacy no volte, only for mega.

Not really. I'm on XP Lite plan... got my VoLTE since 1st Jan 2021.

they are trying to lure more users to new Mega postpaid subscription, convincing some to take iphone and we are bind to 2 years contract, as many as they could before that volte feature to be available to ALL at the end of this year.

My mom's using even older plan. Blue something i can't remember exact which.

I asked for VoLTE. Twice. Months ago. Celcom said not even a plan to give VoLTE to legacy postpaid, have to upgrade to MEGA for VoLTE.

If cheaper prepaids who pay cents every few weeks to stay afloat can get it, there is no weightage to refusing monthly postpaid just because it's legacy.
