The standby time on my S8 plus is honestly terrible, every time I see my phone it'll drop 1% (like every 15 minutes). Planning to do a factory reset this weekend.
cannot be helped, you're the only one complaining about battery life.
A lot here have advised you not to focus on the battery life for the moment, but yet. If you cant help yourself, neither can we.
Furthermore, you are using s8+, the battery is more than capable to last a person a full day even with gaming involved. But you still focus on the battery drain of it when idling..
Go ahead and do the factory reset, hope you will find an improvement after doing that. If you still unhappy, guess the S8+ is not the phone for you.
EDIT:
My point is, unplugging from 100% and it dropping to 99% is real, I myself experienced it before. But what i'm trying to tell you is that, the overall battery life can last me a full day's worth of activity, even with gaming. and im only on the S8, so S8+ should get better battery life.
especially the battery life when you are actually using the phone, it is GREAT.
The battery life dropping from 100% to 99% right after unplugging may seem like there's some fault to the battery, but sometimes when its 70% and while using it takes very long to drop lower. so maybe it could just be some software bug displaying the battery status.
But if you choose to keep focusing on the battery drain when the phone is idle, you are not enjoying using the phone to its maximum..
