QUOTE(ScivanShimitar @ Jun 3 2017, 03:41 PM) So I just went to Mobile Outfitters at Sunway and installed the full clearcoat for RM175. oh damn you paid full price.Any recommendation of clear case that can fit with full clearcoat? QUOTE(ace-user @ Jun 4 2017, 12:57 AM) Yeah, something must have farked up my battery during the first setup. Maybe because I use smart switch to transfer files and apps from my iPhone. i think its that. earlier there were few mentions in v3 and v4 threads about stuff going haywire for those who did transfer of files/apps from iphone to the s8.. |

QUOTE(hersa_wex @ Jun 4 2017, 09:19 PM) Just got my hand S8+ today. My LG V10 just got into bootloop and refuse to work. A quick question, can S8+ double tap on the screen to trigger lock screen? Can I tear out the white sticker which printed the Phone IMEI which stick on the back of the phone? u can double tap instead of hard press home button to unlock the phone but ONLY with AOD on. if AOD is off, can only hard press to wake/unlock or use the power button.and yes, can tear off the white imei sticker, but stick it back onto the box to prevent it from going missing. |

Long time no post here, just got back from vacation
managed to sell off my used clear-coat as well in the meantime, and the other party had no trouble whatsoever in claiming warranty for it as well. btw, browsing instagram on the S8 is really a different experience. Somehow everything looks way way nicer than on other phones.. Anyone feel that way? but some videos are a bit blurry cause it gets zoomed to fit it in our big display full screen though.. If only we could select to view it in the original ratio that the poster recorded it from... Same goes to whatsapp images what we received as well. |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Jun 9 2017, 10:48 PM) Why don't just use iris scanner. it can be use in total dark environment as well. cause i lazy look at top of my phone to unlock.I use iris and finger sensor together, so far no issue. if i use face unlock, can look else where, example while walking or focusing on other stuff.. didnt know iris can work in the dark, will try it. |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Jun 10 2017, 03:24 AM) Oh. Iris is much accurate in dark than bright. If under too strong sunlight it will actually completely fail. QUOTE(Nick Zelos @ Jun 10 2017, 12:14 AM) and face scanner works well in bright or low light conditions, but if complete darkness like at night when sleeping then no..the reason i still use face unlock cause i use it more often, at night sleeping seldom have the need to unlock the phone.. so not bothered with iris unlock.. If only can use both at the same time, then problem solved. I know cant use face unlock for samsung pay or samsung pass, but it should be easy to make lines of code so that if u using apps like samsung pay/pass then it will only allow iris unlock to work and will block face unlock from turning on.. That way we can have best of both worlds.. This post has been edited by LordDenning: Jun 10 2017, 10:10 PM |

QUOTE(eddmecha @ Jun 10 2017, 09:04 AM) for those who wanted double tap to wake, just on ur AOD n select show home button.from there u can just tap the home button twice to wake up ur phone,if you don't select show home button u will need to press down the spot where home button was located to wake up the screen. erm if i remember correctly, as long as AOD on, whether home button is hidden or shown, you can double tap to unlock..only if AOD is OFF, then you lose the double tap to unlock feature and can only hard press home button.. |

QUOTE(squall_kay @ Jun 10 2017, 11:16 PM) i think nope. tested on 2 units of S8. need to enable show home button then only can double tap on home button. QUOTE(eddmecha @ Jun 10 2017, 11:10 PM) yes as i explained earlier,my AOD is on,just that when hiding the home button u cant 'double tap' to wake.btw did u tried urs with AOD ON and Home button Hidden?? hmm okay i just tested myself, and it seems to not work anymore.. Is it because of the recent update where they made the clock bigger and some other changes?I rmb before that update I was using it, and since day 1 my AOD was ON and home button was OFF, and double tapping to unlock works all the time.. After that update I disabled AOD. Now I just tried it and it doesnt work anymore.. |
