mine works, home button shown or hidden. double tap will unlock the phone.

a lot of people here works like that as well.. you sure yours cant double tap when AOD on but home button hidden? Did you tap the correct place?

hmm weird i cant double tap if the home button its hidden(in fact i jist tried it before i reply u).i did try to tap every possible home button location.unless i press it then it would lit up + vibrate

Correct me if I'm wrong. After reading some post about AOD N TAPPING BUTTON hidden or shown to unlock phone. I think I need to help clarify this. U need to on AOD to get it work. Inside AOD U can set to show home button or hide.

If AOD is turned off. Tapping doesn't work. Need to hard press. I hope this is what u guys are trying to sort out right?

yes. absolutely clear on it. we are not dumb. my AOD was on from the first day (5th May) i get until now never off.

yes. showed home button, double tap, screen on. hide home button, double tap, yes nothing happen.

simple, easy.

we all know that. but not sure why with AOD on, hide home button, double tap, doesnt work.

even if you set AOD ON but inside setting you turn-off / hide the home button, double tap on home button will not work, u need to press it.

i think nope. tested on 2 units of S8. need to enable show home button then only can double tap on home button.

hmm okay i just tested myself, and it seems to not work anymore.. Is it because of the recent update where they made the clock bigger and some other changes?

I rmb before that update I was using it, and since day 1 my AOD was ON and home button was OFF, and double tapping to unlock works all the time.. After that update I disabled AOD.

Now I just tried it and it doesnt work anymore..

It did not work even before the update. Need to show home button in order to work.
