im scared already haha.also, if the flight crash or drop somewhre else and cannot be found, log shows software/drone issue, can we get replacement for that?
*
As long as your log able to show that it's not your fault but its hardware/software issue, DJI will change a new drone for you. But there is also alot case that user unable provide log, either controlling spark without RC/phone or log gone missing halfway, if that's the case DJI at most give you like 20-30% discount but wont replace you a new drone.

sweat.gif have to see more details log, to see what's making it to force landing. As per this log, you are having 13 satellites which is quite enough.

yea this is not details enough, but thats all i got..

If you worry, you can connect your spark to your PC and download DJI assistance 2 to extract .dat log file, this contain most information and open a ticket with DJI to investigate the cause. This log file should upload to dropbox/google drive because it's too big to share via email.

Nope, I dont think DJI will care if you contact them directly. As long as your drone is DJI genuine product, they should will honor the warranty but you have to bare the cost to ship it back to them.

Abou this sudden power cut-off issue, are you guys flying Spark with mobile or with RC?
*
I think it affect both, some people in DJI forum suspecting related to heat. Hope DJI can give proper answer for this, else dont dare to fly far sweat.gif

QUOTE(yvonnesoo @ Aug 7 2017, 11:42 AM)
my spark also keep hovering to the left side and drift then suddenly show magnetic interference dry.gif
*
Finally you got your Spark rclxms.gif where you flying when it show magnetic interference? Try avoid within building, cell tower or power line.

I suggest everytime when flying, after take off let it hold 1 or 2 min if you feel it's drifting, check GPS count then land it and re-calibrate compass.

say until i finally got my spark.. hahaha.. i crashes it 3 times  sweat.gif  1st time try landing on palm failed cz unbalance n i drop it  tongue.gif  2nd time hover too high then i signal it back, no respond and out of a sudden bang into walls. 3rd time bang into tennis court fences after it take off. gps ok at first suddenly gone haywired and show magnetic interference. then drift uncontrollably  ..  doh.gif  i did gps count n calibrate before i take off. i was just trying out at my condo surrounding.. thought of testing the function and familiar with it first. not really fly yet leh..  sweat.gif

i will try testing go further at more open space then..
*
Haha, cause you were considering that time. So far I still fail to land on palm sweat.gif put my hand below so long and it never wanted to land, not sure if my hand too small it cant detect cry.gif

Tennis court not a good idea as the fence is made by metal, so high chance it cause interference. The SPARK is very sensitive actually sweat.gif try at open big field, maybe those public soccer field or park.

So far I'm quite satisfy with the SPARK except for the distance. Only manage to reach 500 meter and my video transmission lost.

using rc ?
*
Yeap, using RC with OTG cable. and I change to 2.4ghz instead of 5.8ghz. With 5.8ghz i reach 120meter lost video feed.

QUOTE(yvonnesoo @ Aug 8 2017, 06:18 PM)
yeah contemplated but once saw good price straight buy haha.. after few attempts i can manage to land on palm. i guess my palm smaller than yours cz i'm a gal haha.. however fly and away sometimes can't detect. yeah la.. so my props and guard got a little scratches.. luckily not very big issue.. however my fren who bought around the same time as mine, he broke his spark lens  cry.gif

i think you need a mavic pro and not spark haha.. for me spark serves and suits me. cause i don't plan to fly up that high kekeke. btw, don't fly up that high with spark. lotsa lost drones and fly away drone due to lost transmission
*
Haha, gonna try again this weekend to palm land. Omg, got cover under warranty?

Yeah, i also feel so too now. But too late to change, gonna keep the spark until it dead tongue.gif Last week I try 200 meter, amazing but scary at same time, haha. All the story of fly away, very scare to do altitude and range test.

If using control, i think u need to change to Gesture mode in order for it to land

If you launch without controller, it can palm land normally
*
Yeap, already did. Was playing with the gesture control, other is sort of working fine but less sensitive, just the palm land do not want to work on my hand sweat.gif

now i learn another thing. i didn't know that using rc need to change to gesture mode in order for it to land..
*
Haha, if its DJI hardware fault then possible to cover under warranty just that have to send to DJI for assessment biggrin.gif

It's more recommend to connect to RC/phone when using gesture control as alot fly away is due to gesture control too.

you can try find it at qoo10. price is 2718 if i'm not mistaken
err.. don't think is hardware fault haha..

what do you mean by connect phone using gesture control? usually i will use phone to on the gesture mode. just that i didn't know that when using rc, have to change to gesture mode in order for it to land on the palm.. cause when i'm using phone, once setting already set on.. no need purposely go select gesture mode. i thought one setting apply to all.. no matter on phone or rc hehe
*
Can always try to twist the story abit when report to DJI tongue.gif

I mean, when using gesture control it's more recommend to connect your spark to phone/RC instead of launching directly by double tap on power button. Most fly away happen or accident happen is due to launching by double tap on power button.

Oh, yeap....when using RC, you still have to enable gesture mode from your phone for palm landing. It's at the icon you set quick shot/tripod mode.

got log and black box ma.. they can easily trace  tongue.gif

where to double tap on power button?  hmm.gif  sorry i'm newbie. i didn't know about this shortcut. usually i check it's gps first before i click tap take off. then it will hover awhile. then make sure everything no issue only start to fly. not sure such step is correct or not la.. hahaha
*
Erm, behind the battery got button. If i remember correctly, after you switch on your spark, hold your spark facing your face then double tap the button behind then it will launch from your hand without RC/phone, you can see that in Spark promotional video. Your step is correct if you controlling using your phone/RC and it's the recommend way, haha.

No worry, this is where we share knowledge among each other biggrin.gif I only try once launching this way, and it's kinda scary to only able control it using gesture as the gesture not working that well too. sweat.gif Another tips is, if you hold your spark while it hovering then turn it facing down (*propeller facing towards ground) it will auto shutdown spark, so if emergency and it could not land, you could use this way but be careful of your finger and surrounding.

ahhh.. i get what you mean. means not take off directly from ground and is from palm right?

yeah i know about the tips that you mention but i feel kind of scary la.. cause when emergency i don't think you will be very careful by that time.. sure simply grab just like my friend wanna quickly grab it but ended up can't hold it properly.. another way of saying is afraid of accidentally cut the finger.. also if the drone hover within your height limit that you can access possible la.. i once encounter it hover too high and stop there. over my height and it can't descend no matter what i do.. trying to catch but unable cause too short wakkakaka  sweat.gif
*
Yeap, thats what i mean.

Yeah, when emergency sure will nervous and ignore the safety. So need be calm when anything happen. When too high, the RC/phone wont respond to go down? That's scary also....next time when fly need to get a tall friend accompany laugh.gif laugh.gif

QUOTE(yvonnesoo @ Aug 11 2017, 10:28 AM)
however the take off directly from the palm is the highlight of this spark. if you say easily fly off or lost won't dji ruining it? i guess normally those incident of drone fly off or lost is after they use the palm launching n straight use phone or rc to ascended it. the gesture mode with launching from the palm is meant for just selfie shoot or short distance pic or video only. not meant for flying high. if need to fly up higher better take off from the ground instead. just my two cents la.. haha

errr.. that time first time attempt hence kind of panic cause can't reach. it was hovering at certain height where i'm unable to reach including my friends too  laugh.gif . hovering there non moving until battery depleted and indicated low battery. so i was scare it will drop or etc.. so i try to use phone to go make it down but then suddenly the spark gone haywire and drift loh.  tongue.gif
*
That's what everyone complain in forum. Advertising with all this feature but most do not work as easy as they show in advertisement sweat.gif I think because using palm launch, you wont know if you have magnetic interference or weak GPS count thus the fly away. Yup agree, should just for selfie not even dare to fly up high or far, haha.

Ohh, scary. Drift is it due to go in to ATTI mode? but luckily no serious damage. I feel when get drone, need to have the mind set of might crash in every flight laugh.gif Not to say pilot skill but electronic may gone haywire anytime sweat.gif

yes drift cause go into atti mode. get drone, must be prepared that your $$ will gone if your spark lost or crash hehe.. that's why bought spark only la.. try first. if straight buy mavic pro (although i more prefer that) i'm afraid i will heartache.. i feel like my hard earn $$ will be just gone in minutes or anytime  laugh.gif  sweat.gif
*
Ah, Atti mode also. Yeah, thats correct, at least lost/crash Spark less pain compare to mavic sweat.gif The problem with Atti mode as I read from other is that it is not as responsive as those drone with no sensor/GPS assists, thus it's like almost impossible to control it properly. How good if DJI allow SPARK & Mavic to switch to Atti mode so we could train from there. laugh.gif

I did take-off in indoor with ATTi mode and fly for like 10 seconds, seems stable....
*
It will be stable because there is VPS (Vision positioning system) and no wind when indoor. VPS only work in well lit environment and certain height.

QUOTE(yvonnesoo @ Aug 11 2017, 06:15 PM)
wah dont ler.. atti mode now make me scare. why want to train from there? haha
you take off with remote? that day i use gesture than gone haywire lolz
*
Just in case if happen to go into atti mode when at high altitude, we will know how to control tongue.gif in Atti mode, it can only maintain altitude but not position so if got gust of wind blow, it gonna follow the wind sweat.gif

Haha, dont worry just fly. If fly away/crash, just get mavic pro rclxs0.gif

I think it will show Opti mode, I have not try indoor yet. Rental room in SG, its too small to fly, scare it crash once take off sweat.gif

*
Haha, same sweat.gif I guess if my drone crash/fly away I gonna wait until a more stable drone out only get it. laugh.gif

When I just got my Spark, it's damn tempting to fly my maiden flight indoor, but luckily I mange to wait until weekend to fly at some clear space laugh.gif

laugh.gif  i can't wait and fly indoor. hence my maiden flight are failed  sweat.gif . btw, i thought SG lot of area is non fly zone and many restriction.. even some park also protected area.. so where do you usually fly?  hmm.gif
*
Haha, that's what I worry sweat.gif luckily I able to wait, but Spark is quite durable to withstand certain amount of impact.

Due to number of big and small airport in SG, whole north and east is basically NFZ but south part marina bay area is a valid fly zone with max altitude 60 meter. For beginner normally we fly in Marina Barrage carpark, not allow to fly inside marina barrage due to kite. Else you could fly in promontory, singapore flyer, merlion area, chinese garden and a few more place which I did not fly before. Basically all park under "NPark" are not allow to fly and a few sensitive area like port is not allow, there is few case of drone flyer got caught and their mavic got confiscated for few week for investigation sweat.gif
