UGPM. new stock of what plant... i think currently don't want other plant except for HC and glosso. ohya, if you there got hair grass can give me some?
all i want to plant in terrarium then if success, only move into the tank.

hair grass .. haha sorry no . not a fan of hairgrass . hard to clean up after trim .. tongue.gif but i still waiting for new batch or REAL japanese hairgrass tho ..next month only can get ..

both either normal hairgrass or the japanese HG is nice.
how does SLS there quote? i basically like some in the list though...

yeah.... i removed 1 fan already since its blocking my lighting... currently only 1 fan running... tap power from cpu power supply 12v....

anyway, jz diy'ed my lighting stand... temporary using A4 paper coz havent do the reflector... tongue.gif

depends on what type of algae u wanna fight, normally sae will do the job, cae a bit slow.
otto is another option, but they won eat bba and hair algae.
shrimp? yamate...(opps, i mean yamato)
why use A4, u can buy the reflector easily from electric shop, for 2 ft, will cost u less than 20
just standard 3ft tank i have.

Added on October 14, 2008, 8:46 pmi think i know what happen to my plants... those hair algae development is because i switch on the lighting for too long period... LFS recommend 8 hours of lighting daily is needed... i think mine previously was 8 hours of non-lighting... lolz...

bought a thermometer as well... water temp now is 28oC....

army combination of Otto, Yamato is good enough for me ..

28c ok what ... before i get chiller .. my tank temp around 29-30c ... tank still growing ok .. provided enough co2,ferts and lightings...

8hours non-lighting .. so u on the light 16hours ?? sweat.gif sweat.gif

if i reduce the lighting now, will the algae dies off??... or do i need to remove the whole algae infested plants??...

about the algae, once the lighting is control, the growth of algae is control, but in order to clean of all of it, you need to WC frequently, later you also need to intro some algae eater, based on what algae is growing, and sometimes need to remove it manually by hand is there is some situation.

i've controlled the lighting already... limited to evening till da time i sleep... lolz... approx 10 hours or less i guess....
gonna do WC before leaving melaka.... but there isnt any algae eater that eats BBA hair algae rite??... yday i tried removing it manually by hand... some already grown into the leaves and stems and cannot be removed... i'll monitor the growth till tomolo... if still bad gonna change the whole plant... sad.gif

it started raining... but water temp still remain at 28oC... sad.gif
