As a suggestion maybe users here can list out smartphones that are tested to be working with Digi's LTE-A.. This to ensure that future users or buyers will buy the correct phone.. Some of us just wanted to use it on their phone instead of modems or routers..

Bought the 88dbi fake antenna. No speed improvement, but signal stability improved a lot.
I was able to get stable 3 bars. Without the antenna, it was hovering around 2 bars, sometimes 3 bars
Not too shabby.

For the E5186 antenna, not worth if you have to buy it. If you get it free, then it is better than nothing

hmm.gif 88dbi? really? antenna nowadays really that powerful or complete bogus? hmm.gif

Currently I just use an old 18dbi meteorlink 3G antenna (the long exterior one with 18 "fins") on my LTE connection MF831 modem, probably not optimal location did get 10dbi-ish improvement.
With antenna 98dbi (not a good day right now, a bit rain), 22mb down 7.5mb up
Without antenna 109dbi, 13.2mb down 4.8mb up

Let say if I want to upgrade to the latest next-gen antenna, any suggestion? My antenna ports are 2 x TS9

I will filter through since those models may not have LTE CA in Malaysia. Already building a small list on #1. Thanks anyway.

anyone using yagi Antenna here?

My area has no LTE-A, but with 4g coverage, tested on my phone the speed is around 20mbps for download near window, in the room is ard 12mbps...

Should I get a LTE-A router es5186 or b310 since I have no LTE-A coverage?
Cuz I am thinking es5186 is future proof that later my area might have LTE-A coverage (just thinking)

I have another question is yagi antenna, how do u guys install it on the roof? The length of the cable will affect the speed am I right? How long is the optimum length? 5meter?

modem signal are greater than hp signal. buy LTE-A modem for future use if have budget.

yagi antenna out of stock. not sure when it will restock.

worth to try it with a 4G modem.

For me my area also is 4G only. i'm worst.. digi only2~3bar signal. 3G & 4G flipping..

test with ipad max speed i get with 4G only 16mbps cant see higher..

After get a modem. speed is good for me. above 20mbps. modem detect signal 4bar with stable 4G signal.

My suggestion is don't. YAGI is not actually designed to be used with LTE. You can but the gain is limited. Not to mention that it's hard to get it right. smile.gif

I'm using Huawei E8372 on TP-Link mr3220 router. It is okay to leave it turned on 24/7 or should I turn it off at night?
