Rakuten Trade If the US stocks value that we purchase/hold under your platform is over USD 60K when we pass away, are we subjected to US estate tax?

Anyone knows why there is a mismatch of share prices between Rakuten Trade and Yahoo Finance for US trading?

- MSFT closing price on 4/2 as per Yahoo Finance is $305.94
- MSFT closing price on 4/2 as per Rakuten Trade is $305.86

No, I’m comparing the official closing price from both as at 4pm EST and they are both different.

You can open up and compare as well if you have a Rakuten account.

Yahoo pricing is taken from Nasdaq for Microsoft while Rakuten is using data from CBOE as reference price

Not too sure on whether price execution upon market trading hours as it might vary from market makers

in a way, try not to take "official closing price" too seriously as there's always after-hours.

for example, FB shares closed at $323 but trading at $253 after that. the closing price will be nothing more than just "a memory"

Those trying to buy US shares on Rakuten, can I ask if you've observed your buy orders being rejected often? Example, you open up a buy order for a stock, e.g. Meta, and the price displayed is $240.288 , and you basically just choose the same price, then quantity, then hit order... Next thing you know, your order is rejected. Then you check the price again, and noticed it went up by a dollar plus.

My question is, why would Rakuten reject this order instead of letting the order stay until executed ?

You need to ask the market maker IBKR why because it is routed through them

This fact is well known, and unfortunately it doesn't answer my question though.

executing brokers that can’t accept orders for a particular stock or limit order is too aggressive or incorrectly placed a stop order or stock executed a split or Margin call risk

But it is most likely possibility the market maker IBKR is rej3cting the order itself

You're right. Not all U.S stocks and ETFs are available. Over 900 for now.

There will be an additional inclusion of new stocks soon. We will announce it on our social media and here too.
