Anyone know if we have stocks bought at different prices. Are we able to select which stocks bought at a specific price to sell first? Or is it first in first out?

QUOTE(pw8799 @ May 24 2020, 02:22 PM) Hi, I am a newbie in stock market. Can anyone mind to explain how to order / buy the stocks ? Say that I want to buy a stock at a spcified price, I just nned to enter the price that i wish to buy and wait for ppl that are willing to sell at the price , right ? the order type need to select limit or market ? Once the seller accept , how to make payment ? You got the price part right, for payment part it depends on your account type, if it is cash upfront then you need to have already deposited the amount you want to use in your account, if its other accounts you need to check the details on the FAQ page.

QUOTE(pw8799 @ May 24 2020, 09:43 PM) Do you mean I nned to transfer the money from my bank to rakuten account? How to do that? Of just ensure sufficient money inside the bank account, and just link the bank Acc to rakuten account, and the transaction will be done automatically if I choose limit order? Since you asked that question, gonna assume yours is cash upfront account. If so, then you have to transfer from your bank account to your rakuten account before you can make the buy order. Your buy order will be included in the queue, it will only be done if matched to a sell order.

QUOTE(watabakiu @ Jan 31 2021, 06:06 PM) ahah thought is 1 account for individuals only. Okay, means can have another account with rakuten. will sign up tomorrow, but still not sure which account i should take - whether the cash only or margin is better. Thoughts? If you have to ask this question, better stick to cash only.

QUOTE(Rakuten Trade @ Feb 20 2021, 03:41 PM) Something Cool Is On Its Way...Hey Raku Ranger! We'll be having a system maintenance on 20 Feb (11:00AM to 5:00PM) to bring you a really cool new feature. We won't tell you now but if you can solve the riddle below, you'll roughly know what it is. Oh and the account opening form will not be accessible for the moment. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused! I am also called a Bcoin, but too bad I am not Bitcoin. I'm a source of happiness cause I can get you gifts, vouchers and most importantly, cash. I'm normally available after a certain "hand dance", sometimes in a small or big way. I'll like a transformer but I'm not. I'm coming soon. Stay tuned! Next time just announce what it is thanks.

QUOTE(Kar Weng @ Feb 21 2021, 12:15 AM) Oh c’mon, cut the marketing team some slack 😂 Hahaha I mean, usually this kind of advertisement, I will just forget about it since no actual details revealed. But thought they were going to announce something exciting like crypto currency availability. Turns out it was just RT points conversion to Boost coins. Just in case anyone was interested.

QUOTE(RiriRuruRara @ Mar 8 2021, 01:39 PM) Hi Rakuten, can you please help explain how your limit buy function work? I am new to trading. Example just now dnex was 0.75 and bcs i had to go out and cannot monitor the market for the rest of the day i set the limit to sell at 0.71, But everything was immediately sold at 0.75. While waiting for rakuten to reply, you can try to refer the FAQ on the website. "The matching will be based on Limit Price set by you or better". Since there is a better price than your limit. It was sold.

QUOTE(joeblow @ Mar 8 2021, 06:06 PM) Hi Rakuten, I saw there's a market order available. Does it mean it will match the current best price and confirm will fill up the order? https://www.rakutentrade.my/faqs/general-tr...rket-order-type"What is the difference between LIMIT and Market order type? A market order is an order to buy or sell a share immediately. It ensures that the order will be executed but does not guarantee the price. A limit order is an order to buy or sell a share at a specific price or better. A BUY order will be executed at the limit price or lower (better price) while the sell order will be executed at the limit price or higher (better price)" That should be what you are looking for, if not then wait for rakuten reply. Dunno why nobody reads FAQs anymore.

QUOTE(joeblow @ Mar 8 2021, 07:03 PM) Thanks, I read and know what's market order. Just want to confirm if indeed will work. Dont' want a shock at filling at a price much lower... One problem of Bursa is it is not very fluid like US markets... meaning the prices filled can deviate a lot if there's no pending order queue for next tick. I see...hopefully rakuten admin can help you on that then.
