So in conclusion, all of us who have higher speed is on pure fiber then.
*
I hope so.

Usually new housing area already come with fiber backbone installed by TM

Please don't give false information or misleading people.

For Streamyx with VDSL/ADSL DSLAM through ADSL modems or VDSL routers, which are connected to the PSTN network via typical unshielded twisted pair telephone (copper) lines direct to the exchange.

For UniFi with VDSL through VDSL modem, which is connected to the HSBB network via Fibre To The Building from the exchange to the building. Then from the building via DSL Based FTTB-MDU to the customer premise through a copper telephone line.

There's a difference.
*
Is not false information only different on interpretation

for streamyx,
your statement in technically is correct but my statement more on layman term to ease of those not in technical person

for Unifi,
your statement to customer premise is copper wire PROVIDED customer premise is having old infra
However to customer premise is purely fiber is new infra not copper wire
for example: my house purely fiber, does not copper wire.

i had this issue before, tm tech on site told me the fibre snr ratio too high and they recabled the whole thing up till outside junction and now no problems d
*
SNR often used to indicate the quality of an ADSL line that is your backbone copper wire NOT fiber.
The higher of SNR , the better of data of traveling in your ADSL line (copper wire)- excellent

im not living high rise, so not a vdsl based, it's ffih, so everything is in fibre
*
i see
in this case, FTTH signals are not attenuated as the distance, so FTTB do not fall in SNR as well
shld be others issue then

Under utilized since May actually. Also not happy TM treat all 100mbps subs. Imagine my next door neighbor got RM189.00 for 100mbps. How do you explain this nonsense. Stop giving me nonsense cause Im on contract so have to follow blah blah blah. Bullshit. Is all about connection, luck and how you tackle the Tmpoint Manager.

To be honest, I dont mind paying even RM400.00 for 100mbps provided all pay the same amount equally.

i nvr had packet loss too, might be the cables?
*
Basically Network Engineer should know better on this.
Packet loss incur when your network cannot cope of the volume or too congested.
That lead to your apps or any apps is lag or hang or intermittent

i think packet loss should be almost zero rite?

if zero packet loss, means your network not congested, quality of line is good
based on experience, 2 % or more is not in good condition as your apps will be hang

No relocation fee

1. Make sure the new place is under UniFi coverage
2. Go to TM Center to check if the new place still have empty port. If no port, then you're screwed. If got port, then proceed to number 3
3. Provide all required details to TM for the relocation
*
then option 2 with charges biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
