Preve was launched in 2012. Back in the days, these active safety assists were not part of the EURO NCAP assessment.

So, "in theory", if Preve were to be tested by EURO NCAP in 2012, it would have earned 5-star rating.

Preve, having earned 5-star rating in Australian NCAP, was already a proof that it can do the same for EURO NCAP.

In fact, I think sifu dares had commented on this before, when he said that Australian NCAP used to have tougher crash test than EURO NCAP itself because back then, there were cars that got 5-star EURO NCAP, but when they were tested again by Australian NCAP, it only attained 4-star.

Don't really like the front lekuk on the headlamp ala Mercedes.

I think Proton shouldn't bother spending on design, Msians don't care. The car can be as ugly as can be, but if janji got Japanese powertrain, they instantly trust it'll be high quality, low fc, cheap to maintain, that's what they want most from a car.

This Geely Boyue is a bit disadvantaged in the sense people will think it's typical china car quality, but with a bit of marketing about Volvo's tech at really affordable price (which they better get it right, it has to feel the price is considerably less than Japanese), and bolster after sales support, it might just be a hit. Better proton channel their resources here than to design, which failed for how many years edi. Syok sendiri design won't sell the car, after how many models keep failing sales, still never learn.

Well, Perodua has succeeded in its mission to provide high quality but cheap cars to the Rakyat. The basic transportation needs that Rakyat wanted, they have delivered. Reliable, great FC, cheap maintenance, etc. Unfortunately, it was never their mission to provide Rakyat with safe cars. It seems that Rakyat has to look somewhere else if safety is their priority.
