Sometimes when owners shared things like idle battery drain, it's really unclear about the duration they left it, just simply said overnight.

Things like this really hard to draw a clear line. I also can say I had 0-1% drop overnight on my S6e.

Well, firstly I never install facebook and messenger which is the best known battery drainer. I only had whatsapp and gmail. No Instagram, almost nothing. Metal Pro replacing Twitter and Facebook app and even that with notifications turned off. I also turned off Play Store auto update. Add: Even OS update also set to manual.

What I really get is occasional YouTube notification about LoL matches, few emails from pbb card promotion, and nothing else. Usually on wifi at home.

You can't really blame the OS for battery drain when its doing something behind the scene.
*
Trust me. U can fully blame the OS for not secured enough to enforce apps to behave as per settings. Fb will still suck ur battery at the background even if u turn off every background thing in the in-app settings. U need to disable their services like SNS. Google it and u shall find what services to disable.
Oh, and u need to repeat the disablement every time u update major fb version.
Been there done that. Good luck to u smile.gif

You can opt out if you are unhappy with it. I'm so much happier living without Facebook in my phone.

If you think it's the OS fault, so be it. Android never meant to lockdown like Apple did on iOS. If someone decided to exploit it and yet users keep coming back, who is there to blame. If everyone uninstalled FB then things would change. Would you? LoL... who needs the bloated Fb anyway... lifeless...

After weeks of using the s8 i still can't get used to the new 18.5 to 9 format. Aesthetics over practicality??

I still feel that 16 to 9 is the best ratio to operate on phones.

We all start somewhere... wasn't too long ago when 16:9 was being questioned.

SGP rugged armor may not be compatible with a lot of sp glass/non glass. Somehow the lips of the case overlaps with the sp.

Its not about many but practicality when you need it. I got 3 phones so why i wanna bring 3 chargers everywhere when i have 1 charger for 3.

For powerbank due to fast charging the 5100 we consider 1 time charge only and the xiaomi is 10k as backup and 20k as backup of the 2 backup.

Cable i want high quality type C cable because my phone not RM500 phone and those converter you mentioned are like 5inch long only it so inconvenience at such length

But when the transition from 4:3 to 16:9 the width remain unchanged, the width of the iPhone 4 to iPhone 5 is maintained.

But this, like many have argued in previous posts, things are actually rendered smaller. Also the height is pretty beyond reachable.

Welcome to android buddy where the world isnt always perfect like in apple jail.

I rather live with this few flaws that being in a total lockdown in jail on iOS.

I can install 3rd party apps as i choose, have tons of new features unlike apple you live in 2013 on your phone of 2017

So more like we wish you good luck in your jail. We are free

can confirm this is not true.

my first unit (the original one that i pre-ordered and got) didnt have red-tint issue, but it was green-ish on the edges and only on the left edge, same position like yours in the pic except yours is blue-ish.

my current unit with no red-tint issue doesnt have it, green nor blue. Even viewing from 45 degree angle or whatever, the white stays constant and doesnt "shift" on viewing angle. Both on the edges and on center of the screen.

sometimes you try remind yourself its perfect does not means its perfect. Later you show other ppl they spot all the flaws, you realize all your effort wasted so you need to maintain your state of perfection for satisfaction. I only check once and never bother of tint issue already

so far sp friendly cases maybe liquid armor from spigen, otterbox symmetry, spigen neo hybrid (less risk).

but also have to double check the sp dimensions, as long as doesnt overlap with the lips of the case then should be good to go.

For SP Clear coat (case friendly version) is ok and x-one sp is ok provided that installation is perfect.

HAO SP (Glass) is compatible with a few cases...it was listed here can check out.

well, all my chargers from my previous phone are too old and they don't support fast charge.

I want to get new chargers that support fast charge, and given my situation, it's like a complete overhaul of my current accessories.

This is the reason why I won't ever consider to buy S8.
S8 already plagued by many issues after released and fail durability and drop test.

Comparing with my sister new S8+.

Those with non red tint seem to have blue edges compared to red edges for red tint.

Red : 0
Green: 2
Blue : Max

Colour tone i put it on center of slider between "cool" & "warm"

I rather buy an s8 then a hua wei or iphone.

My phone is in great condition maybe you can't afford it so you give yourself many reason that device have problems.

Hua wei even have more problems now..

1st lying about the ufs and Emmc memory
2nd boring and old design like iPhone
3rd camera not up to Leica standard with a Leica branding
4th flickering and dimming issue with their Facebook and chrome access
5th battery draining issues

But what I can tell you owning an s8+ this phone is just stunning btw I just wash my phone with soap with tap water just now.

I will never buy Huawei or iPhone phones as well.
But one or two brands that I will suggest my friends to avoid is samsung and Huawei. No doubt these are good big phone manufacturers but the quality is still not there.
HTC and Sony are better phones but due to lack of marketing budget comparable to Samsung, Huawei or Apple, their sales can't growth.
