Seem all here are high income resident to get those premium card such as visa infinite. May i know most of the banks judge a customer by looking at their ctos & ccris or based on their annual income document when giving out those premium cards?
I consider new to my credit record, own credit history about 1yr+ not more than 2yr.
I have made my payment on time ( second day of every statement released )
I dont have any property and car loan. Only credit card.
I check my ctos score monthly but it seem wont be increasing. I wonder why!?
I have few hundred k of fd in my main bank. But they still very strict on my credit application.
I have alliance priviledge debit card, hlb priority banking debit card. But for credit card just at platinum level. ( upgrade from gold to platinum after 1 yr usage of gold ) now only 5 months for platinum with CL not more than 20k.
I see people who doesnt have savings/fd like me still very easily get offer by bank for premium cards and easily approving. Sometime feel frustated and not puas hati. Really confuse how they judge? Hope someone giving advice here.
Credit card is always an unsecured loan. Credit card issuers prefer you not to pay in time and in full so they can make money! It is likely you will not accept their cross-selling items including personal loan, easy payment scheme, property loan, hire purchase or other credit facilities. You are not attractive as you are "cash rich"!
For CTOS score, don't hope for perfect score, it is a bit misleading. If you do not have term loan AND hire purchase, you will never get full mark (I am in this dilemma as well)! At green zone is already good for loan application.
To get a premium credit card, the most basic requirement is your annual income. Make sure your Form BE/B 2017 (to be filed by April/June) showing your annual income >RM80k (Signature) or >RM120k (Infinite). This is the most powerful documents for you to get the premium credit cards.
For Maybank, apply at the card centre (1U or The Gardens), don't use online application.
For Public Bank, apply at the branch, the officer and manager will be helpful as they have monthly target to meet.
