CL is a credit facility assigned to you as an individual. the cards are just mediums to access the credit facility provided by the bank. 1 card or 10 cards, doesnt affect the CL for general circumstances.

points always subject to 2 variables::

1) earning rate revision

2) redemption/conversion rate revision

points are always a liability to the bank. the more unredeemed points, the more liability the bank is holding.

eventually they will force users to clear it.

no need police report

contact bank ASAP. they can handle fraud transaction.

not sure how you 'dispute' with them earlier. but banks has sop to do this.

must cc to bnm telelink so that they see how hsbc being unfair to you

demand hsbc to take proper action to rectify n refund the fraud txn through fraud handling (file chargeback dispute, replace compromised card, refund back to your new card)

demand hsbc to revert within timely manner all the while keeping bnm in the loop (cuz bnm want to have b&w customer have communicated with bank and exhausted the direct communication with hsbc)

if hsbc refuse to cooperate keep escalating to bnm for unfair treatment.

bnm will take further action advising HSBC to follow through your escalation.

give them some time to revert.


if still not satisfactory action from hsbc, bring it up to OFS. keep bnm and HSBC in the loop for all communication.

no need but always a good practice to inform, if possible

there are few other amex variations from Maybank including standalone amex and amex charge cards too. you should inform us clearly which one you're using.

easiest is to tell from m2u portal. what card name listed there.

for me, I'd use maybank2card amex on weekends

1) use spaylater 6mth @ 0% fee (I think got promo now for 1,3,6 installments)

2) spaylater repayments are fixed to 10th each month.

3) plan repayments on weekends before/on the 10th.

at least you can secure m2c amex cb for 6 months.
