Anyone here tried Pay4U before? I could not find more information on this except for the info on the app store.

Hi Guy,

Curious on the method available to pay for Credit Card. What the differences between Credit Card Payment versus Fund Transfer to the credit card??
*
credit card payment = own bank payment. e.g. maybank savings -> maybank cards

fund transfer = to external banks, e.g. mybank savings -> cimb cards

Just curious what the differences of these two payment option for paying credit card.

Not sure whether this is the right thread.

I have a few credit cards from a few Banks. How do I setup auto payment of these credit card bills using my Maybank savings account
*
maybank SA --> other banks SA/CC

1) scheduled fund transfer (recurring) = YES for fixed amount

2) variable amount = NO, because maybank does not know your cc bill amount every month

im not good at math.

considering you have debt around RM300.

how do you lower the average daily balance for next month?

is it better pay high portion near the end of due date ? or is it better to pay earlier ?
*
user posted image

no difference.

cc monthly statement is billed once a month (like any of your fiber/postpaid/utilities bill). the Payment Due Date is stated accordingly.

all you need to remember is pay FULL STATEMENT AMOUNT/BALANCE on/before Payment Due Date.

refer illustration above on the statement billing cycle.

but my question is what if you have balance carried forward.

how do they calculate the interest? arent they using the  "average daily balance" thing?

how to minimize the interest?
*
you should've said about interest to be incurred on unpaid balance. credit card itself is a debt medium already.

if not mistaken, interest is imposed on all your transactions of the current statement, and on daily basis from each transaction date.

no shortcut way to reduce significantly. must clear ALL to stop the 'bleeding' (interest) ASAP. else, it will keep snowballing.

better get clarification from bank for help.

many of us doesn't want to get slapped with interest at all. all statement must be fully paid, diligently and consistently. if cannot manage, stop using the card temporarily until outstanding is fully cleared.

Understand that BNM rules only limit to own 2 credit card for those who earn less than RM36k. However, in my case I am working overseas and my first credit card was approved by UOB, in their record they convert my annual income which exceed RM36k whereas, my second CC approved by PBB, in their record my annual income just RM36k since treat 1:1.

My question is, can I apply for another credit card from different bank?
*
my guess is, you can apply, but depends on how the 3rd bank view your income, whether "converted" or 1:1.

Why is it that OCBC revised their Titanium MC annual income requirements from RM24k to 36K?

Most finance website still states 24k.

"most finance website" is the official source of information?

or OCBC's?

Guys I didn't get any replies from cc recommendations so I'm asking here. In serious need of advice

I helped my bank agent by applying this Hong leong dual card promotion in which I am given the Hong LEONG sutera card and Hong leong essential card.

I am currently using Maybank dual platinum Amex and visa.

Which one shall I keep? Thank you guys
*
seriously, you SHOULD know what features of these cards, right?

read and study them >> https://www.hlb.com.my/en/personal-banking/...en-home-menu-cc

only you know the answer: do you even need these cards at the first place? helping an agent, you need to keep the cards for few months, usually 6 months.

do you think you have any use of these cards? are you happy just with maybank2card amex/visa? do you need more cards?

the reason i am asking is that my amex isn't widely accepted in most places in kuching. the visa is just a point card.

just wondering is anyone is using the sutera card. can't find any information on it here.
*
because you didnt check the proper topic for HLB cards here >> https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4012607

search using "sutera" keyword.

what do you think of the Sutera card features? anything useful?

So what happen when i tell the store that i wish to apply 0% installment by using MBB FCB?
It shouldn't appear lump sum (full purchase amount) in one goal right?
*
installment can be done 2 ways: the store do themselves or they use partner banks (e.g. maybank, cimb, etc)

if partner banks, the respective bank cards to be used (to hold the outstanding)

since you want to use MBB FCB cards, i assume the store is using maybank ezypay (installment program).

if maybank, no cashback for monthly installment. only got cashback for lumpsum payment.

the lumpsum payment will be reserved on your mbb fcb cards (credit limit utilized). 1st installment amount will be immediatelly charged to the card.

subsequent installment amount will be charged on next statement cycle.

Hi,

I've been trying to apply for entry-level credit cards, and my applications have been rejected. I suspect they were rejected because I do not have a credit history. I have not applied for any loans since I graduated.

I do not want to pledge my savings for credit card. What are the other possible ways for me to get a credit card? I want to get one to build a credit history. Although, how important is a credit history in the first place?
*
try apply from the bank where your pay credited into.

Due to high volume of calls, I have left my number for them to call back.

Meanwhile, I have found this from BNM

10.6 An issuer shall provide cardholders with a grace period of at least 4 calendar
days after the payment due date. This is to cater for payment due dates falling
on weekends or public holidays. rclxms.gif

not all follow this guideline.

generally, min 2 days, max 3 days. havent seen/encounter 4 days grace period though.
