QUOTE(Awakensoul @ Jun 26 2017, 09:00 AM) Guys I got a question. Just curious. What's the max no. of banks or financial institution can we received credit cards from. Above 3k salary If RM 36001 and above per annum, there's no limit so long banks approve.

QUOTE(Awakensoul @ Jun 26 2017, 01:53 PM) Haha ya. But it's ok la. I'm settling the outstanding in huge amounts monthly. Probably by end of yr, my name is off the blacklist. I don't have anymore baki tertunggak and already prepaid 18 months ahead, last tried applying new CC in April is still rejected. Coming Oct will be a year, let's see how it will fare that time. Not urgently looking to add cards as my current cards are kinda sufficient for my usage.

QUOTE(Awakensoul @ Jun 26 2017, 04:37 PM) Wow. That's good. Well I have some other obligations. So I'm stuck. But ya trying to clear it while I can, using the benefits of 10% if u pay 50% outstanding or direct debit. Haha I wanna cancel my Hong Leong Mach and CIMB Cash Rebate. Wanna combine both into PB Quantum. But I dare not cancel before getting Quantum. I usually don't hit the max cash back monthly so no purpose. I usually get RM10 Cash back from CIMB CR for online and RM20 from my Mach Visa for dining. So no purpose keep both cards since Quantum also Rm30. But what's nice about Quantum is the additional Rm30 in the additional card that comes in Departmental and Entertainment. It's kinda good actually. U know when u go buy clothes and always get max 0.3% when u can get 5%. Aih. Don't cancel your existing cards until it's approved. PBB is pretty strict, they also rejected my Quantum which I tested water before applying PBB VS. That was in April.

QUOTE(LimitEDition @ Jun 27 2017, 07:36 PM) guys i have a question. i plan to purchase macbook for 9k... they have installment interest free for 12 months. bank will lock 9k from my credit card. but if i purchase online ill get rm400 student discount..this also will lock 9k from my cc this may be a silly question but wouldnt it be cheaper to buy the online price and pay the monthly minimum payment for cc? rather than opt for physical shop 12-month interest free tq *plan to buy, still in consideration, not that rich Minimum payment? Prepare to pay interest then.

QUOTE(IvanWong1989 @ Jul 1 2017, 12:29 PM) Question. Cimb cc. Statement date 28. Amount X. Paid in 28 amount X. On 31st have a transaction. Next statement shows up finance charges for late payment. I don't understand ... Any comments ? The X amount you paid, did you deduct the cash back? CIMB doesn't treat cash back as payment.

QUOTE(Duckies @ Jul 13 2017, 12:08 PM) Previously got rejected for credit card application due to PTPTN tunggakan. Just settled it this early of the month. Just went and check the CCRIS report it's still not showing 0 yet so I think should be next month only can see it. Should I wait for next month only go and apply credit card? Or as long as I settle the tunggakan then should be all right to go and apply? Credit card still refers to CCRIS. I settled my tunggakan in October 2016 and until April 2017, my applications were still rejected. Just tried luck again this month and see how it will fare. My CCRIS already zerolized since I cleared tunggakan in October. Just saying.

QUOTE(kopiride @ Jul 13 2017, 03:36 PM) I have a question. What is the difference between ringgitplus and outside agent we see in malls for Credit card application? I am sure they are not direct to the bank. 1. Is ringgitplus an agent for so many credit cards? 2. If apply from ringgitplus, am i meeting up with some agent from them? Anybody knows? 1. Yes 2. No, via email only.

QUOTE(eric84cool @ Jul 26 2017, 09:55 PM) hey guys, usually bank will base on basic salary to determine the requirement entry for certain status CC is it? Or based on gross salary inclusive allowance etc ... If submit payslip, banks can consider allowances if they are fixed allowances. If EA form, whatever shown on EA form will be considered.

QUOTE(eric84cool @ Jul 27 2017, 12:06 AM) including bonus ???? Yes, if you submit EA form. Most of the banks recognise that piece of document, you can see it in almost all banks' requirement.

QUOTE(AthrunIJ @ Jul 30 2017, 02:13 PM) I dont remember applying for Amex though. Was applying for credit card just in case needed it when going for business trips as it is more convenient than carrying a stack of money with you. Since you said that it comes in a set. Then no worries i suppose. Thank you for your reply. For M2Cards, AmEx is the useful card. The other card I locked in drawer.

QUOTE(Duckies @ Aug 1 2017, 09:41 AM) fruitie, how's your recent card application? You mentioned that you just cleared your PTPTN right? Got the card already? I applied both SCB and Citibank, both approved recently. Cleared tertunggak in Oct and still rejected in April but approved in July, however for different cards and banks. I applied PBB in April by the way.

QUOTE(Duckies @ Aug 1 2017, 10:18 AM) Applied in April but July only approved? That's 3 month eh I plan to apply PBB card later...dunno will get rejected or not since I cleared my tertunggak last month only. Nope. What I meant is I applied once in April and got rejected, that was PBB. This round I haven't tried with PBB again and approved for both SCB and Citibank.

QUOTE(prescott2006 @ Aug 5 2017, 06:20 PM) Currently any promotion for any CC going on? I mean like swipe for x amount to get x rebate. Plan to swipe RM3499 for an iPad. Sign up for new card. You may look into Citibank or SCB, they have new sign up promos for cash back. Side note, holy moly an iPad costs that much nowadays? I'm quite glad that my iPad Mini 2 bought back in early 2014 is still rocking.

QUOTE(CP88 @ Aug 6 2017, 09:03 PM) Well, I think he's grabbing the iPad Pro. That's why it cost 3499. Anyway, what OS is your mini running? Yes, I checked the price of iPad Pro, quite scary. Just need to find the correct CC to spend on it. I bought few Apple products at Harvey Norman and using TP. Very useful, offset few hundred bucks. OT: The latest version.

QUOTE(Duckies @ Aug 8 2017, 09:37 AM) Ohh, I just called to check my PBB credit card application status. It says that it has been approved. Finally got to get new credit cards after clearing my PTPTN tunggakan. Good for you and that could also mean my PBB application was rejected not due to the tunggakan issue. Not sure what then and lazy to re-apply now, will do it next year.
