I think Metro Puchong gives a bit of a leeway as well. For zero experience they ask the rider to practice balancing on an ex5 first before going on the ER6n.
And no extra charge for repeat exams. |

QUOTE(Voopoo @ Feb 16 2022, 02:05 PM) really? last time for me, the instructor straight tell me get on the ER6N right away even though i told him i have not ride before prior to the course. Spent the entire day practicing clutch control and getting comfortable turning on ER6N During my time, you get that option for the total newbies to just learn balancing first. For clutch controls then use the er6n. But there's no pressure in a sense that until you're confident then keep on practicing. Makes sense since the fee is damn expensive compared to other academies. |

QUOTE(alexei @ Feb 21 2022, 04:12 PM) If > 1 year mati, need inspection before buy insurance and roadtax. My insurance and roadtax expired more than 1 year (Dec 2020). Managed to renew with etiqa takaful online and then renew the roadrax on myeg (Jan 2022). Go JPJ ask for permit to travel for inspection. Otherwise, may kena saman. Bring bike to Puspakom for inspection. After done, go JPJ buy insurance and renew roadtax. Previously all those portals (myeg, loanstreet, bjak) etc dont want to renew my bike's insurance so i need to go direct to the insurance provider. I read somewhere if roadtax not dead more than 3 years no need to go to puspakom, maybe due to covid. |

QUOTE(nojalanpulang @ Jun 27 2022, 09:58 AM) What usually happens after you ter-hit someone's side mirror? I'm a newbie and I ter-hit a car's side mirror with my side mirror in a jam. The side mirror I hit was still in tact. I didn't stop because there were other riders following behind me so didn't want to cause an obstacle for them. Just ride on and raise your hand to say sorry. Then need to improve depth and width perception so you can gauge whether you can get through or not. This is why so rempit have no side mirrors, which is way dumber as you need to glance to change lanes especially if lane splitting.Jalan Tun Razak during peak hours aren't a joke, especially the area under the overhead pass around TH Selborn. |

Any of you part of a rider's discord? For sharing tips, builds, ride spots, bike pics, news, favourite workshops and gear shops, livestream rides/diy, meetup and rides etc.
The forum is good and all but live interaction is a good complement. |

QUOTE(DeFaeco @ Aug 11 2022, 12:06 PM) Simple. Keep an eye on the K biker thread in kopitiam. It's not as active as before because we're mostly active in the group. Joining a ride or a tts session is required to join. Unless you're in Sabah/Sarawak. And yes, we do have people in both of those states. Yes.There is no discrimination in skin colour, ethos, creed or what you ride. We have those that ride from kapcais to superbikes. Heck we even have a few with no bikes Word of caution. If you're expecting your typical biker group with proper organizational structure, you'll be sorely disappointed. It isn't a democracy, rather an authoritarian one. We have one group admin that sometimes kick you out just for the lulz. But no worries, you'll just have to request him to add you back and most likely he will unless you really pissed him off which I've yet to see. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and no one is obligated to accept it. You need to be ok with this. No one is above anyone else (except the abovementioned group admin). If you're easily offended, stay away. You need to have a thick skin and good sense of humour to tolerate some of the things that happens in the group. Still interested? |

QUOTE(lsm1991 @ Aug 31 2022, 01:47 AM) basically im in the process of getting my b full, just pass undang (my god the waiting lists are so long), and i have 0 exp on a bike, literally 0 as in i have never even ever been a pillon rider and i want to get a first bike to practice on/get used to riding If you're a total noob, i think metro lets u practice balancing on an ex5 first until you get the hang of it. Then they'll get you familiarised with the friction point and balancing on a bigger bike.so i went to the shops and hopped on some bikes, wah berat sungguh. i was trying out the xj6 and the likes, those are apparently on the heavier side. was already considering getting an mt07 cause that thing is quite nice. but kinda feel like im gona end up dropping the bike so... plan b, get used to a cheap 250cc, then 6 months down the road if i enjoy riding, get a proper big bike. Seems like a safe path, get something i wont cry if i drop. almost bought a vulcan s cause those are so low, but meh those things got swiped just before me, probably a good thing cause while they seem easy to deal with, my friends were telling me the Vulcan is a terrible starter bike on the streets of kl And yea , about to start practical classes at metro in a few weeks, so they use the z650 there. Metro ain't cheap, but good place for beginners and have unlimited test. |

QUOTE(CounterRealm @ Sep 12 2022, 08:21 PM) Use for leisure, weekend or groceries usage. The exam is included colour test? How does the colour test now because I have a bit challenge in that section. Done via a computer. Since i am colour blind, i bought that question bank card and did lotsa practice quiz. The questions didnt vary so much from the question bank. Basically i memorized the questions and answers. |

QUOTE(CounterRealm @ Sep 12 2022, 10:12 PM) No. JPJ test questions. It's like those topup where you scratch and get the codes for access to practice questions. KPP01 i think. If you're like me who have driven for 15+ years suddenly need to take the computer exam, then a bit of practice questions helps. Especially the colour test. Lol. |

AStars CE level 1 (Nucleon Flex) protectors are bendable, suitable for those who like form fitting apparels with less movement restriction.
Before this I use mesh jacket Komine JK128 with CE Level 2 for its elbow protection. Below rm600 can get from motogear i think. |

QUOTE(technosakai @ Sep 26 2022, 07:26 PM) guys, where do you guys go to get accessories for your bikes? Try shopee or lzd? R&G brand is a bit rare though.Mainly looking for frame sliders for a 2013 z250. The bike I bought was pretty much standard. Even came with stock exhaust.. haha. I've tried looking at bikempire, motogear, takong racing.. can't seem to find anything. Either sold out or none |

QUOTE(silvaco22 @ Oct 22 2022, 12:58 AM) I'm using hypergear 25L backapck for daily commute to bring laptop to and from work. Around 200 and comes with laptop insert so the lappy didn't move around during transit and with padding to reduce vibration effects. Once went home in heavy rain, i got soaked a bit but my laptop is still dry. But it won't be able to carry much of other things once the laptop is in. |
