Yes get the Givi rain set. They are good but can be pricy for a set. Dont bother with the cheaper ones. My cheap "Arai" ones lasted all of 2 rides before leaking. FWIW get a bright flouro coloured one.

Shoe covers you can get from shopee for about RM10 a pair on sale.

For topbox, if you prefer a shop you can give Serdang motorcycle a visit. They have a good selection at reasonable price. But if you are handy, you can also buy from shopee and DIY.

Topbox those givi plastic ones are good. Aluminum ones are heavy and require better rack to support the weight.

Raincoat if you don't wanna spend givi price then can take a look at maxfly maxxis and foxdry. Maxfly have teflon coating. Both are quite popular with food riders. Serdang motorcycle sell foxdry maybe can ask them how good it is.

Skip those cheap givi in shopee since a lot of imitation. People suggest to get givi at givi outlet to avoid fake stuff.

I'm personally using decathlon raincoat for bicycle.

raincoat - pay attention to neck roll water sealing and cuffs, and between legs when u sit, that's where water will pool and either gets blown off, or gets into the pants.

add good gloves, and depending on how you ride, wear the gloves over the cuffs, or the cuffs over the gloves to water proof

boots are most likely pants over boots, so out-boots (boots over pants) will be more challenging though not impossible

I really hope you do, but I cannot change your mind.

It takes determination to wear and take off every single day, each time getting on and off the bike. Many ppl give up eventually, or stop replacing when their gloves break apart due to use without ever getting in a crash. Cheap gloves do not last long, or protect enough during a crash. Anyone who's broken a bone in their palm, or hand, or wrist... even after recovery, they usually don't feel the same anymore. Food riders community encourage their members to glove up.

It's up to you.

I spend more on gloves than average ppl on their helmet - gauntlet, kangaroo leather, aramid/kevlar lined. These are the gloves I have, and 2 of them for kapcai daily wear.

Those are fake alpinestars btw, but got any armor is still better than no armor, imitation or not.

can easily replace the padding with good quality. some came with foam type but more harder because its design to absorb the impact.
i use benkia right now for daily ride. for me, some model jacket is good quality and some are not.

Rm180  = fake.
Real and branded ones , the most basic models is around rm600++.

What type are the existing amour ?

Soft foam type ?  Easy to fold?

Or hard foam / padding?

the armors are removeable - reverse the jacket sleeves (normally by pulling the wrist cuffs inwards) and check for it, they should indicate CE level
protection paddings are important, and unfortunately good ones are not cheap.

the benkia one I say, comes with the black soft plastic type elbow (maybe shoulder too) - I had not so good experience with this type, after few years the foam will disintegrate and become powder. The back and chest armor are no-grade padding.

my Taichi jacket comes with Powertector Hexa CE-1 (elbow shoulder) and no-grade back padding

sharing my frens experience with riding jacket:
- fake Alpinestars - got style but fits loose, material also light, and flaps when riding
- original Komine - also got style, pricetag not cheap, zipper cuff, heavier material, fits better, adds confidence when riding

Didn't check in a few days but could have advised otherwise. You could find this for less than 100 from shopee on sales. Very cheap foam armour... i paid 95 just because it was cheap...and as a spare jacket when my main daily is in the wash or wet. It doesnt ventilate very well, but I have already replaced all the amour on mine with proper ones.  Well, its better than bare skin.

Bring your jacket along and test.
Scared that the amour compartment of your jacket couldn't fit in certain amour ( size and shape)

Jacket, gloves, boots, helmet you need to try it out.

Pay a bit more for brick and mortar shop and try it see how it fits.
That komine full mesh jacket I tried at hodaka motoworld. Try haggling price over there, you might walk away with 10-20% discount.

El Chong Sungai Jawi, Penang have quite a selection of apparels that is usually cheaper than even shopee. Try and visit them, but note that they're doing some major reno and it's quite dusty.

I think I mistaken post... RM500 is for branded. If non-branded, or clone, I don't mind, as long as can find good quality... so I listed some that I can think of. for something I use a lot, like daily, I budget a bit more.
