This is the epoxy putty that I've mentioned above. A cheaper alternative to the special nut screw. Just fill up the hole of your hex bolt with it.

Thanks for the review. I didn't tested the 800de because it is too tall for my short inseam. Tested the 8S, Katana, S1000GT and Katana only.

S1000GT is THE bike for me but at RM87k++ OTR, I need to look for other bike.

WHAT I BOUGHT was even cheaper than those brands coz those brands only had 6000k white lights and i wanted 4300k yellow lights.

works great... at least soooooo much better than the useless HIDs the ex owner installed. cant compare with stock halogen coz it didnt come with the bike when i bought it.

depending on the bike, u may need to check clearance for the heatsink with the rubber boot. you may also need base adapters such as THIS EXAMPLE

feedback ive heard from auxito (h7 direct PnP - no need adapter etc) - white light.... damn bright... quite useless in the night rain coz of the nature of white lights. which is why i wanted 4300k yellow.... but i also havent ridden in night rain before...and if i did... i will still turn on my spotlights for better visibility for other road users to see me.

Yeah some toll gates they are very strict.

Dont know why they do the motorcycle bypass lanes so stupidly. Most are very narrow, tight turns and unlit, some even sandy.

The other one is LDP to puchong. Sometimes can miss or fail to merge in time if coming from the right side lanes.. Fortunately the only toll gate bypass I missed was duke to gombak heading to MRR2/karak because I couldn't merge across lanes to exit at bike lane safely. Luckily can go through toll gate on that one.

I have 4 spotlights + 2 DRL on my D400, yesterday I went thru a JPJ traffic stop. they just ask me to continue ~ My DRL was always on but spotlights off so I guess it depends. Also my spotlight are pointing downwards near areas where my main lights can't see.

hi all, what's your take on modenas versys 650? heard that its locally assembled, will it make you think its less reliable than a CBU unit?
one thing i dislike bout the versys is that it sounds like a lawn mover and its only 62hp for a bike that size

I am looking for a middle weight bike for long distance and with good exhaust note - not willing to change exhaust (3/4 cylinder) with a budget of 45k or abit more.  placed order for the CB650R but it looks like it will never arrive and likely end of production by this year. I dont mind a naked bike for long distance ride ( i like feeling like a parachute haha)

currently looking at
1. Versys 650 - hate the exhaust note, but its cheap,

2. Triumph sports 660 - cost more than cb650r, trying to avoid conti bikes because parts are alot more expensive and hard to get parts whenever needed. (that's what i have been told so dont beat me for it please.)

3. MT - 09 - alot lot more than cb650r but it has a sweet exhaust note inline 3. but the power is too much for me to handle, me scared, dislike the mt 07 feel on the road, suspension feels too soft.

to end it what i am prioritizing is good exhaust sound and a smooth ride(less vibration) and also a more upright position bike

And what speed is your 750 at 7000rpm at top gear?
The point is, all bikes will vibrate. Be it 1, 2, 3, 4 cyc. The more important question to ask is, at what rpm/speed it's most prevalent and what you normally cruise at. Vibration during normal street riding is not a problem as you don't spend much time at a particular rpm. Its the constant vibration at cruising speed for a long duration that is tiring.

Smoothest engine I have tried is the v4 from the honda crosstour 800.

14k km consider pretty good leh for hypersport tire. just go ahead with the S22...bridgestone is basically malaysian's favourite brand n s22 has had numerous good reviews.

other competitor option can be like michelin power 5...good reviews.. but not as many reviews as s22 in malaysia afaik.
in whatsapp group someone posted cheap Pirelli angel GT for RM850/set (sport touring).

Tire compound itself is different..not just threads...sport touring compound will be harder n last longer. They r also mostly dual compound with medium in the center n softer sides.  They r also generally better for wet. I believe they r also generally cheaper.

Hypersport will be softer for those knee down enthusiasts for more grip. They supposedly do decently in the wet but ive never used hypersport n have zero interest to as i also dont do knee downs n i value durability along with wet weather braking n riding above anything else.

That said...my Roadtec01 sport touring tires typically get changed at ard 18k km with some thread left...i think if gatal can probably push to above 20k mileage for the rear.

Different ppl have different preference on tyre. It affects how the rider feel what the bike is doing, and how the bike behaves all the time. Some tyres are sensitive to pressure especially the front that can affect steering. If you want long mileage, even a Sportec M5 can last very long.

Hypersport have softer body, have less tread, sharper profile and less groove. Stickier compound (not necessarily softer) for dry roads. Sport touring have harder body, more tread, more grooves, rounder profile. Poorer at bump absorption because of the hardness. Stickier compound for wet roads. Higher end tyres will have dual compound, and some will have tri compound at the rear making them 5 zones (S22, Rosso IV). Some tyres are full silica, some have carbon black. It's very complicated, but you can learn more if interested.

I buy the cheapest high performance tyre I can find and sometimes I mix brands and models because the rear one tends to finish earlier, at a ratio of 1 front to 2 rears.

My old bike is 1993 XJ600 ler, very different than XJ6 diversion. Mine is air cooled and down 20hp compared to the Xj6. In terms of vibrations, my xj600 is buttery smooth compared to my Katana which vibrates like hell above 6000rpm.
If you do more commute then definitely get sport touring tire. I replaced my rear with Bridgestone T32, hopefully I can actually use it finish instead of getting another stupid puncture.

Anyway, yesterday dropped by serdang motorcycle and coincidentally they had a customer's zx25r with a slip on exhaust and damn that's the best sounding bike I've heard in person. 17500rpm sounds so sweet.
