Cheap and cheerful can get QPLUS superbike chain lube, different than their regular chain lube. That one I used to use and it is not bad, leaves a dry white layer 

What's wrong with non fling type? Currently I'm using ipone xtrem chain lube for off road and regretting. Super sticky and can see small stones around the chain area everytime.

been wondering for quite some time regarding this. so hopefully the sifus here can share some insight to this. I have yet to own a 650 since i'm waiting for stock so i do not know of the high maintenance cost of using it a daily ride.

I would like to compare the maintenance cost of a 650 cc compared to a car (say a honda civic). how big a difference is it when it comes to maintenance cost per year since most of the people mentioned that maintaining a 650 is high.

I find that the cost to maintain a civic is not that high. Insurance NCD can go up to 55% which drastically lower the insurance premium by alot (provided that I didnt claim for any repairs else it will only take 5 years to accumulate it again.  where as for a bike its only 25%

for tyres, it costs alot cheaper for cars and it can be used for 40K km or more per tyre whereas bike tyres are rather expensive and has a low mileage.

Servicing for car, taking civic as an example usually is around rm 300 - rm 500 for every 10000 km unless its a major service but its still around rm 1000 range for major service. Am unsure of the motorcycle service cost in the long run for this. Parts replacement for cars usually will be needed after 5 years of driving due to wear and tear or when its nearing 80K km i suppose.

would like to have a picture of how high a maintenance cost of using a 650 cc bike as daily and weekend compared to a car. my apologies if i sound ridiculous comparing costs between a bike and a car but i have been wondering about it since so many people kept saying a 650cc has high maintenance cost. and also i shouldnt be taking civic as an example since it costs rm130K for one  compared to a 650cc that's around 40K or more per bike  but im rather familiar with honda cars maintenance and parts costs therefore i pick a civic as a comparison

recently got a used Honda Beat, Engine already overhauled and change valve and seal or something so not revving too much on it until 1000KM later

but the brake lever i noticed after pressed it won't return original place, i need to push push using my fingers. sometimes when at stop if pressed it will jam brake but when move it release again la

so my question is, which part should i ask workshop to check and/or which part should i look for in shoppee if i wana buy and give to workshop to fix?

i actually went before already, the fella change brake pads say gone dy, then he rode and test2 say ok dy
the other side ok, but my combi brake on right side at first it 'lentik' balik abit then next day datang again adui

means your corsa is more pointy / aggressive
good for leaning but be careful when braking in the wet
but then again rear brake not used as much as the front
wonder why jpj insists on using rear brake for emergency

Cheaper alternatives to safety nut is to cover the hex hole with epoxy putty (gam batu). It will take roughly about 30 minutes to really remove the hardened putty to enable you to use your hex key into the hole.

For a sealed chain it's not so much about the frequency of the lube but also how clean you keep the chain.

My factory o ring chain lasted for 20k noisy and stretched to crap but with no seized links.

My current X seal chain has about 32k on it and starting to see signs of wear...with one semi seized link that sometimes frees itself after a good clean and lube. It's due for replacement soon.

Okay, I guess the extra adjustability makes it worth it. Didn't know you can adjust the dead zone as well.

It's a fully adjustable MC, on top of the span/reach, bite point can be adjusted on the CortaCorsa

Especially with ABS system, the bike has longer lines sending hydraulic pressure to the calipers. I can't promise you will feel the friction of the pads on the disk at your finger tips with that upgrade but it will be a world different

Then, the RCS system, it comes at 19x20 for 'street' use, if want to increase the leverage, can switch to 19x18 moving the fulcrum to 18mm. Another one is Brembo MCS where the fulcrum can be moved in smaller increments



Then again, maybe I'm wrong afterall it's a very modern Katana, maybe after the upgrade you'd feel no difference... hahaha

Can you tell if the stock MC is also 19mm? My google search finds it's a 19x20 as well
There can have many reasons to keep to stock MC, but if you want to move up in terms of comfort and performance, an aftermarket upgrade is almost always the most economical sense
