good oil has better thermal stability, and heat transfer
I don't know how to measure that, so I just pay to get it changed
6 months or 5k km

Better additive, better base oil. Motul is always a safe choice. And yes frequent oil change very important.

not really... coz theres so many fake motuls out there so u gotta be sure to buy from a trusted shops. problem is, sometimes the trusted shops oso dunno that their stocks are fakes. so u really gotta research on how to tell the diff.

safest choice is to buy from petrol stations or brands that doesnt get faked as much.

For Motul go High N Lubricant in Cheras.. they are the distributor. Confirm no fakes.

Motul also got QR to check original or not. Using one special app. Works quite well to stop counterfeit.

So I tried the riding school and I flew off my bike, landed on my back and hit my head on the back directly. Luckily I had helmet on, scratched on my back and I think my inner knees had some impact from the bike. I wanted to break but pressed on the throttle instead of the bike flew off and hit the pavement. I was very scared since the beginning because I wasn’t confident, since I couldn’t actually touch the ground so it really killed my confidence. Also, I was too focused on the clutch and whatever. When I’m riding a bicycle and if I can’t touch the ground, I get scared too. And this bike was a Yamaha MT15.

Thankfully I don’t have anymore injuries? Except my throat keeps hurting and I think the helmet strap might have hurt something inside, it’s like a sore throat. Hahaha.

Nonetheless, I think my journey ends here. I got traumatised from the head impact honestly. So people, please please please wear your bike helmet even if it’s a short journey. Only went to clinic and let’s see how it goes the next few days.

glad you are fine. But I cannot brain how you mix brakes and throttle? Brake is squeeze with right hand or press with right foot. Throttle you have to twist the handle….

Like others suggested.. start with a scooter or auto bike… get used to throttle and brakes.. always progressive/gentle. Not sudden grabbing of brakes or twist the throttle unless you know what’s coming.

I think to build confidence go ride bicycles…

Hello.. nice to meet you.. I think the last I posted in this thread is like few years ago.

On and off I ride for almost 9 years. Latest ride is Ducati 796.

Single sided swing arm pure sexiness. Most ppl tend to shy away from Ducati due to the running costs. Myself included.

Really love the look of the 1098 and 1198. But I can’t ride it, prefer upright.

Sometimes I really wonder if I'm searching wrongly.

Apologies if this has already been asked... I don't see a thread on Harley Davidson. I'm seeing more interests in BMW bikes and have a friend who claims maintenance is low.

I've actually never really liked a Harley. But lately I'm wondering if it is a good bike to own? Low or High Maintenance?

How about price - depreciate fast/slow?

Happy to hear your thoughts and pointers. I'm a newbie at this smile.gif

Harley don’t have chains to clean and lube, don’t have valve clearance. Air cooled ones are stupid simple bikes. Sure the damn thing loves leaking oil but it’s just changing oil seals.

Second hand ones depreciate slow.

They are stupid bikes. No technology, heavy as an anchor, no horsepower, noisy as fcuk. But the 1HD made in USA ones have very good fit and finish, feels quality and solid compared to a z650.

But ride one first, you might like it, you may not. A Harley is a Harley, with its distinct v twin that shakes like a giant prostate vibrator. You can’t find it anywhere else.

I think Harley bikes are stupid on paper compared to lighter and more powerful bikes. But we ride bikes not talk about bikes on paper, so it doesn’t really matter it’s stupid on paper. Go ride one and share your thoughts!

Used would do. Saw them both, maybe not commute friendly after all haha

Nama pun cruiser, of course not for commuting. It’s to cruise long distances.

That’s why need more than 1 bike lah. Commute use Adv 160 or kapcai jer. Then cruiser balik kampung or weekend ride.
