But for me is not a big deal, since the most I will save RM250 buying the GearVR. If they do not give us the 50% discount, I will definitely not splurging RM500 on that piece of plastic. so they just lose RM250 sales.

The way I see it, if you get GearVR, you get same 'cash value' as pre-order, and u only get more discount if you get the Gear360 ( BTW what's the price for this? ). We dont need to queue, while even at samsung store, i can bet that it would be super busy on launching day, especially for places that are further from roadshows, so you need to spend more time queuing to get your phone. Still acceptable for me anyways.

yeah this conversion normally has a 6-8% upfront charge one, if the shop offers IPP with 2-4% charges, better off taking that.

Agree. It is too naive when you think you can take advantage of bank. They got a whole team of financial analyst vs you. There is always the catch in their Terms and Conditions to protect their interest.

for those who are interested in gear 360 and vr and know there's a discount they sure won't pre order
since buy both of them having 50% discount, around RM 750
during pre order only give extra 1 year warranty + 1 time screen replacement, which cost around RM 348
and why need to queue ? since confirmed got 50% discount for both gear vr and 360, unless you want to queue for free battery pack + starter kit then different story

tied with contract still okay, if having lousy coverage also no point
meanwhile the best coverage is Maxis, but their plan are the most expensive

Btw, Maxis is definitely going downhill these days, particularly in JB, the coverage is really bad. The data coverage was good at my workplace in industrial area few years old but since 2 years ago, always no data coverage, sometime even no line for phone call in meeting room. Eventually me and most of my colleagues all change to U Mobile. Even my bosses is not happy and making the switch for our company's line. But but but.... they change to DiGi, which is yet another telco with lousy coverage in JB area.

as for telco coverage, nothing is best
even Maxis claim it is the best telco in Malaysia, but in some area in Klang Valley it also low signal (1 4G bar signal or switch to H/H+)
for Digi, totally no comment as I force my parents all switch to Maxis already, but I saw my friends who also stay in Klang Valley no complaint about Digi

IINM, Samsung did say the stock of Gear VR & 360 is limited and based on first come first serve basic as well. So some people may go to queue up for the sake of the PWP deal.
