tempting to buy gear 360 and gear vr...but promo only seem like for who buy the phone at the day jer....supposed that offer include also for the people do the preorder...

It's for 200+200 = 400, for Klang Valley road show.  Not sure why they separate it to 200 each in the table though.

IMO, pre-order is much convenient since you can just relax and sit tight in home/office and click. While the road show you need to wake up early and drive, traffic jam, park and queue up with the crowds. Not to mention that the early bird promotion is very limited. So if compare each pros and cons, pre-order offer is still better than roadshow offer.

This round of pre-order really kinda sucks.

Freebies almost the same as those early birds and the worst is we only get it one day earlier.

Haha. It depends bro. You can still choose certain branch which don't have much crowds, go collect at certain non-peak hours which don't have much people to queue up.

I know well the amount of lose. What I said was it's a fast option for people who can't wait, or lazy to sell to other people, especially those who have impulsive to buy on the spot after they look and touch the device in roadshow. And believe me. There's lot of people will opt for this if financial/budget is not a problem for them.

So phone is like a status liao. So many people using iPhone nowadays. No wonder government say naik 8% GST should not be a problem.

But "user friendly" is very personal. To my, transfering a single files or music need to use iTune, it's not friendly at all

During this period, every purchase of the flagship smartphones will come with a Limited Edition Starter Kit consisting of a clear cover, screen protector, wireless charger stand, USB Type-C cable and compact 5,100mAh battery pack.

Don’t worry if you can’t make it to the roadshow as the promo will also be offered at all of its 76 Samsung Experience Stores (SES) nationwide.

The main attraction of the new smartphones are the screens – the S8 sports a 5.8in display while its bigger sibling, the S8+, has a 6.2in display.

Both the smartphones have a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel rear camera with f/1.7 lens and an 8-megapixel front camera with Smart autofocus for sharper selfies.

Samsung claims the mobile phones are the first to feature a 10nm processor that is not only fast but also power efficient.

The phones feature three types of biometric security – facial recognition, iris scanner and fingerprint reader.

Customers who purchase the Galaxy S8 or S8+ will also be eligible for 50% discount on the new Gear VR with Controller (RM499 before discount) and Gear 360 (RM999).

Samsung will also have a trade up campaign for buying the Galaxy S8 and S8+ but at this point it’s not clear which old phones it will be accepting or the value of the rebate offered.

The company will also be demonstrating the Samsung Dex, a dock for the Galaxy S8/S8+ that turns the smartphone into a desktop computer so you can access apps, browse the Web and more on a bigger screen.

The Dex, which will only be arriving on our shores in June, is priced at RM459.

So differences between preorder and roadshow is preorder user get 1 year free screen replacement and roadshow user get 1 extra usb type C cable and able to purchase gear vr and 360 camera with 50% off.

I already read through the roadshow link before it was taken down. If I remember correctly, we only can get the free starter kit + 50% off PWP exclusively in roadshow. For the store purchasing, only powerbank will be given.  Not sure why Star claimed that everyone can get the same deal even he/she miss the roadshow.  Need to wait for SME official announcement to further confirm.

please make some noise to their samsung page, they are famous of ignoring their unfair treatment to their customers 

Yesterday i did notice someone posted the complaint in their FB. Not sure if it was you. But last night it seems they already removed that complaint, exactly around the time when they removed the roadshow link.

First they pissed off the Note7 PRE ORDER owner, then they pissed off the S8 PRE ORDER owner to praise other potential S8 buyer. Not sure if you would call this a good move. Maybe good to you, but it is definitely a bad one for the company.

It works because many simple minded ppl easily seduced by fancy advertisements

guys, S8 demo unit is up on Samsung stores. Just went to have a feel if it. Definitely top notch build, everything feels solid, and the edge screen isn't as curved as S7, so it's easier to handle. Overall not bad at all. They literally put out the unit minutes before i arrive, and still setting up the whole table to move their A9 pro 2017 somewhere else to put more S8, Gear VR and Gear360 is not out yet as per lunch hour, so cant comment on those. Sad that PO phones isn't eligible for the half price discount for GearVR, otherwise i'd sweep one home

Upon  checking what the Gear 360 is, im kinda jelly with that 50% off. lol
