at the moment, there is no 4K HDR monitor just yet.

buta  4K monitor yes, got.

you need a 4K HDR10 monitor to fully enjoy 4K gaming experience on your PS4 Pro.
*
Actually, there is - http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-32UD99-W-4k-uhd-led-monitor
Can pre-order in Malaysia now.

Dell also just announced their 4k HDR capable monitors a few days ago.

QUOTE(silrave @ Apr 26 2017, 11:42 AM)
yup u are correct
only 30hz
except using display port

but problem is ps4 no display port support
how u guys connect the ps4 to 3.5mm jack speaker?
*
People on 3.5mm connections would usually use the optical out from the PS4 > DAC > speaker.
Some monitors has an internal DAC as well, so it converts the digital audio signal to an analog output.

Neither are optimal to get the best sound quality however.

Ranges from RM50 to RM10k or even more, your choice - just make sure it accepts an optical input. If you are going to get PS4, make sure you get one with optical out. The PS4 slim doesn't have an optical port.

omg
if i get ps4 slim
then how i get audio out?
*
Buy a HDMI splitter that has optical out. I don't recommend this because most HDMI splitters add input lag.

A better solution is to just buy a PS4 Pro instead.

Pro was the reason I got a PS4....my last PS was PS1 but my last gaming console was an Xbox 360.

After doing some research, I realized I need a 4K TV with HDR10 to get the most out of the Pro so I had to triple my planned budget just for the TV  rclxub.gif
*
If it makes you feel better, I went from a W600A 1080p Sony TV from 2013 to an LG E6 OLED. So look at where the budget spending has went. sweat.gif

Just my 2 cents.
PS4 at the moment is enjoying the throne for console gaming. They have 4k capability, great game lists, amazing gpu/cpu architecture. I don't see the need to push for PS5 when all the best technology is readily available. Of course there's plenty of new concept or existing ones that can be developed further, such as VR, AR, but its kinda risky to ditch the PS4 for something less enticing. 8k? perhaps, but how many has 8K tv? Its my hunch that Playstation might look into their handheld first instead of the console.
*
Unfortunately your 2 cents is kinda off.

Great games, hell yes.
4k capability, not really... Sort of, not really.
Amazing GPU/CPU architecture? This has gotta be a joke. The CPU in the PS4 is a glorified tablet CPU. It's been the weakest sauce in the entire system, it's slow and has no headroom whatsoever. The GPU is fairly average, but no where near great.

Why would ditching the PS4 mean that the PS5 is less enticing? The PS5 isn't going to target 8k, who said it will and how in any logical sense can it even target 8k if it's going to be a $500 box at most?
The PS5 will target 4k gaming at better framerates, it will target a better VR experience, it will target for games to be fluid with Freesync2/VFR. It's entirely enticing to ditch the PS4 for the PS5.

As for everyone else, no need to have knee jerk reactions. It's obvious we are going to hear about PS5 speculations, leaks and bullshitting all throughout the rest of 2017 and basically 2018. But realistically speaking, the PS5 is a late 2019 release.

Not sure if you understand the concept of 2 cent opinion. Of course its off by your standard, hence you have your own 2 cent to share on the matter. sweat.gif
nonetheless, I concur. By itself, the cpu or gpu doesn't look that impressive especially when comparing to the PC market today. But being a console that it is, and able to dish out 60 framerate at 4k res on a cheap budget is impressive still. In short, you can't make a PC equivalent of PS4 for the same price.

8K is just an example. 4K is still in its infancy, and will continue to be the next standard of high-res in 1-2 years more. My point is, there isn't much else a PS5 upgrade can offer apart from techs that are faster/bigger/stronger/cheaper than the existing tech of the PS4. Not to say there isn't any new tech we haven't heard of that might be in the works, they might ditch the standard hard disk in favor of SSD or cloud storage in the future. (just a hunch)
*
You can have a 2 cent opinion, not saying it's wrong to have it (it's great to have them). But at least make it sound logical, not hypothetical with no basis. It's not off by my standards alone, it's off because you mentioned the CPU to be "great" (when it was barely mediocre back in 2012) and that 8k seems to be the next jump when it wouldn't be. Why metion 8k at all actually?

The CPU does not look impressive at all compared to ANYTHING - period. And... 60fps at 4k? Okay fair enough if you are going to consider 2D platformers and simple 3D sport titles to be essential as 4k60p entertainment.

Simply by the virtue of having VFR support (or Freesync2) with the PS5 is a megaton upgrade. If you don't understand the importance of not having a locked vysnc or an entirely uncapped framerate anymore, then I don't know what else to say.

Never play any Outlast series before but did google and its more like Silent Hill to me.

It's not even an ounce close to Silent Hill. Entirely different games, entirely different atmosphere, entirely different perspective on the story even.

First 2 hours was sorta intense. Then the next 3 hours became repetitive. It goes something like - see an enemy, run and hide. Continue exploring when the enemy leaves, rinse and repeat.

Recommended if you are into jump scares.

Avoid.

Piece of shit on consoles. Enjoyable on PC only if you like System Shock with Deus EX mechanics.

Good Evening biggrin.gif

Fast question, feel free to answer..TQ smile.gif

My setup - 4K TV + Ps4 Pro (soon) + 4K Soundbar

The question is : Connection ps4 pro..used ARC @ direct to tv, which one better ?.
Or, do any connection..result still same, no different.

Thank you.
*
Consoles > soundbar > TV.

ARC is stupid and doesn't work half the damn time. Also, not all TVs will passthrough DTS/DD through ARC either.

Adehhh, kantoi plak  wub.gif  Setup level dayang istana ajer  biggrin.gif
TQ for reply  rclxms.gif

So, conclusion is..plug in ps4 pro direct at tv (dont used ARC)

Other question, hdmi cable. Some say better used premium level.
Example - Sony Premium High-speed HDMI Cable 4K 60P/4K HDR 18Gbps
I got it from new soundbar.
*
There exists only 2 types of specification on the market right now:

- Standard HDMI cable (10.2gbps bandwidth)
- Premium HDMI certified cable (18gbps bandwidth)

Under a length of 10 meters, everything else that states otherwise is pure bullshit. So all those "4k" cables, HDMI 2.0 cables, or UHD HDMI 2.0 Ultra bandwidth blah blah blah cables are basically marketing bullshit.
A standard HDMI cable (10.2gbps) can transmit 4k, but it can only do so at 30hz. So in that sense, the name of the cable doesn't mean a damn thing.

If you are doing a long run of say 15 meters or more, then you will have to buy an active HDMI cable like a RedMere one or a HDMI signal amp/booster. Even longer runs like 25 meters or more, you'll have to buy HDMI cables that are made of fiber optic - these are quite expensive. But if you have a home theater that big, money is probably the least of your concern.

If you want to check if your cable is TRULY certified, you can look for the QC code which cannot be altered on the box/manual:

i already own a ps4 slim. Now thinking to upgrade to pro and i only have a 1080p tv. Is it worth the upgrade? I am draw towards the boost mode. Perhaps can give cleaner graphics.
*
Boost mode doesn't give "cleaner graphics". As cringey as that sounds ("graphics" isn't even an actual term), boost mode can only improve performance in certain titles. Some are significant, some barely noticeable, some not at all.

The upgrade is not worth it right now because what Sony promised with Pro, they haven't delivered:

1) Downsampling or supersampling, there has been an increasing number of games that simply do not provide this. It's retarded.

2) Better performance for Pro games, in some cases - yes. Nioh and Nier most recently benefits from the Pro's performance significantly. However, in many cases, the performance difference isn't really that significant at all.

3) With the MS scorpio coming out soon, it's pretty much a given Sony will drop the price of the Pro soon after. The scorpio's release is only like 4-5 months away, if you can wait - then wait.

Horizon zero dawn really showcase the 4K HDR UHD 60fps gaming experiences where PS4 PRO needed.

I believed already had few titles carried PS4 PRO enhanced option stated. Many more coming this year in VR as well.

Of course, you need to invest a decent big 65" or bigger HDR UHD TV in order to enjoy the WoW factor fun gaming experience.

Just my 5 cents. They're always another way to enjoy the gaming experience based on your budget.

@bolded
I would love to play the Horizon you were playing at 60fps.

IP add got blocked by Sony. Reset your BTU until you get an entirely different IP range. This is the downside of dynamic IP adds.

My IP got blocked by sony? Of what reason? Takkan they suka2 go block people IP address for nothing?

Yeah i will try to reset my router and see how it goes tonight.

Funny because before this got no problem being blocked or anything.  hmm.gif
*
Not suka-suka block you. But due to how dynamic IP address works, Sony will identify a batch list of IP addresses that has been ping'd to DDoS or hack their systems. To keep it simple, a DDOS troll will usually use a batch of IP address to attack a server and through no fault of yours, Sony sees this and ban hammer this entire batch of IP adds.

Perhaps it may also be your system has been compromised and is being used for DDoS attacks without your knowledge (very common, 99% of people on the internet don't know this).

So yes, not your fault but people's fault - jadi you kena.

A dynamic IP add is NOT YOURS btw, it's only loaned to you by the provider (in this case TM in Malaysia as they hold the backbone of all IP adds in MY). An IP add is ONLY yours if you pay for a static IP add which costs a thousand or more a year.

Changing your DNS isn't a full proof solution to the WS-37397-9 error.

The only full proof solution is to lease a static IP from your ISP. Even then, you MUST personally make sure that no one on your network becomes a douche and starts doing stupid things on the internet.

FW 4.70 is causing a little bit of delay on HDCP handshake with my receiver. PS4 Pro here. Usually the handshake is about a second max, now it takes about 10-20 seconds.

Yup.

Something is strange with 4.70.

Guys need some recommendation for headset (with mic)

wired budget 350
Wireless budget 700

Requirement must have good SQ and 5.1/7.1 surround sound
*
Want good SQ AND have 5.1/7.1 in a headset? That kind of headset will only exist in... maybe 2050 or something.
Virtual surround is not surround btw.

To answer your question, if it MUST be a headset - get a HyperX Cloud or something like that and be done with it.

If you are serious about some decent audio for your games, then my recommendation has not changed in the last 2 years - Get a Fidelio X2 and get a VMODA boompro mic.

Huh? The conference belongs to no one. E3 is simply an event for the game industry to show off their products so investors can see what the hell they've been pouring their money into in the last 12 months.

You have the wrong idea.
