I never had experience with UiTM worker before? Genuinely curious of their work ethic and core knowledge. We all know the people who go there are normally not accepted elsewhere

My story - went to a Klinik Kesihatan. Got one doctor from UiTM and another from UM (Nurse taking my blood tell me this when I ask about this two young doctor in the room) . Both House Officer. Since overcrowded got two patient in one room so I have the benefit of watching another pt.

Case : One 60 yo pakcik complaining for pain in urethra after discharge 2 days ago witb urinary catherisation (tube insert in his penis with bags so no need to toilet) . The UiTM doctor talk for 30s before saying that it might be infection so just can go back home with some antibiotic.

Thankfully the young UM doctor overheard and stop her and say you can't just do that. He say it is cause by due to introduction of bacteria from urinary catheterisation. Need to remove the equipment, do urine test, check bacteria culture, give antibiotics and put under observation as got chance of kidney damage.

UM doctor probably just save that old pakcik life from kidney damage.

I know about the condition more after talking to my doctor friend who confirm the common side effect of the procedure, and don't know the reason why that uitm doctor anyhow want to leave pt without removing the causative equipment first.

TLDR - UM doc save the day after UITM doc make a mistake.

The doctor both Malay! Are you implying UM don't have Malay? That's bloody racist. Recently I saw blood donation drive from UM med student and got Malay too.

Edit 2 - some people said UiTM medical grad achieve well on medical quiz and have good quality. Maybe i don't know much about the patient case and harsh on the UiTM doc action. She might even do the right course of action. Better having a doctor than none at all. UiTM med please keep up the good work

need to check background why need catherisation in the first place.

perhaps a call to the uro MO first (depending on the reason of catherisation) whether can remove the catheter.

No I was suspected with dengue. So i inside the room waiting for nurse. I talk to nurse about the doctor who both look young. She said the young lady from UiTM, the guy from UM.

The UiTM aqeks quite pretty, the guy look nerdy typical from UM

Dont know. The old guy was push with his wheelchair to the red zone. I think there should be MO. So at least got escalation rather than discharge. Both HO. Dont expect anything except be a safe doctor maa

Not sure about UITM but there was a doctor from UM in the govt clinic I was at and I was lucky I got her as my doctor and the way she diagnose was pretty professional. I notice many other doctors were getting her input while seeing their patients.

All grads make mistakes, not just UITM grads.

I have my fair share of horror stories from local and foreign grads from all unis.

Some of my worst were from UTP. Out of 6 I hired, 5 were major disappointments.

In fact I never ever hire grads from UTP anymore.

My current sous chef is from uitm. He's very good. My previous sous chef also from uitm, also very good. Even my brother also from uitm, now with exxon mobil. When everyone else in the o&g industry got axed, he still able to keep his job.

So yeah, i do think uitm produced good graduates. But as with everything else, there will be bad apples.
