Sindiket tawar siaran ASTRO tidak sah ditangkap.

user posted image

the scoop was on local operators, local servers.

foreign ones, i doubt they can do much; will be up to the foreign authorities in those countries where the servers are based to take action.

question is.. when one buys these illegal stuff, does he/she ever ask/told the details?

err... just curious about people who pay for such illegal service, not inviting sellers to come and sell!

Pretty soon the mods at Garage section will need to further scrutinized seller so as not to be implicated or accused of encouraging and promoting these illegal services

Maybe Se7en would know better

You're saying that server hosted all the Astro channels... we don't know that for sure...it could be just a portion...and one of many servers like you said

Live streaming is a bit different than hosting and P2P...

Most of the astro card sharing provider will have their infrastructure within or nearby to Malaysia, simply because of the satellite's coverage. You still need the satellite feed before you can do any "distribution" to IP based solution.

I think if it's a Malaysia to Malaysia link, it should be quite fast as it is in a "local" network.
That is assuming the Malaysia VPN is truly anonymous.

If the VPN server is in Malaysia, it will be bound to local law, make it easier to trace the originating source wink.gif

I think you need to understand that VPN only provide encryption, it is still possible to track down all the connections if the authority have access to the VPN server (if it is local).

I'm pretty sure the provider can take a portion of his RM900000 to ensure that the VPN server is indeed anonymous.
How about those foreign VPN providers with Malaysia server presence.?

As neuromancerx posted.. They are subject to local laws and the authorities (hopefully with a warrant) can at any time demand they (foreign companies) to hand over.. say logs.. etc. This ain't Switzerland.. tongue.gif

Is latency issue for streaming video? I don't think so. AFAIK, these IPTV services sure slower than live or ahem...Assteruk broadcast. It's a given.

The only input needed is to change channels. I think most people can live with a little latency there. Streaming, as long video reaches, who cares if it suppose to reach me 500ms ago or later.

For sure.. Until Big Media understands that the average consumer is willing to fork out "some" money for the same services (or even better) and adjusts the current rate or content sharing laws.. The mouse will always be ahead of the cat.

Mine still working. Including Assteruk, but noticed that some of the Asstreruk channels is missing like BEST and FIRST last night. I hardly watch Assteruk anyway, but some Assteruk channel still there.

I am trying out DIRECTV now....internet streaming is much better, but selection is not as as good. But i am only interested in Documentary (nat Geo, Discovery World, Discovery science, History etc). Internet streaming quality is HD, IPTV box quality is > SD but below HD.

like joe & myself already explained earlier we're two different dudes bro laugh.gif

currently i just use myiptv & showbox. using kodi is a bit of a hassle as the links go bust from time to time. but all of these don't really do justice if you prefer glorious Ultra HD content on your LED TV.

currently considering plonking money on Getflix instead but how much would that be? hmm.gif

You're late to the party. Me and a bunch of others managed to buy Getflix Lifetime subscription (Expiring in 2045..biggrin.gif) about over a year ago....tongue.gif

Can watrch DirectTV, NETFLIX, HULU etc no problem. laugh.gif

But of course, you still have to pay for the respective services.

Paid vacation to the jail. Operating since 2015... 30++ months x 900k... epic.

RM300k just like a vacation fees. Coming out of jail... plenty left in the bank.

Anyway, they should decentralise the service... scattered it over the internet.

Just want to ask. It's illegal for seller, how about for customer? Is it also illegal if we subscribe overseas content like Hulu and Netflix from U.K or U.S?

Subscribing for legit services such as Netflix or Hulu is NOT illegal. What may be considered illegal is when you use some form of location masking tech like DNS/VPN to fool their servers into thinking you are in a different location.. Primarily to gain the advantage of their localized content.. Currently in Malaysia, it's a gray area.. Future? We'll see.

Very true... Big Media & restrictive governments are taking their sweet time to understand this. The internet is supposed to break down geographical walls and allow content to be freely accessible. Which is why I believe Netflix, Hulu and Amazon have been investing a lot into their original series and movies. Cuz then they have full control over them and can share it as widely as possible... versus being restricted by the owners. Governments are another thing. smile.gif

Is the streaming lagging or not? Does it have National Geo, National Wild, History, Discovery Science, Discover World etc? I am only interested in documentary channels.

Is it purely Astro channels or got some other channels in the mix?

Have all Astro channels & many more weird channels in HD in the IPTV. Even cinemax is also in HD. In astro is not HD.
National geo, cartoons, sports, news - all free bro. biggrin.gif

In my Kodi box have 2 streaming provider.
1 is MYIPTV
another one is Huat88

i recommend go for MyIPTV rather than Huat88. Was on Huat88 a year before i change to MyIPTV (2nd provider) on 1st page Kodi screen.
at least the apps more proper arranged & has correct subtitles compared to Huat88.

Not really sure on Hao HD coz never tried before.
Only use Huat88 and Myiptv. So far tried Huat88 not really as fantastic as MyIpTv coz Huat88 frequent have channel disruption even the internet streaming is excellent. and not all channels are in HD plus with the indonesian subtitles kinda hate it.

My myiptv has only 200 channels. and that itself not all surf coz too many channels to watch in a day.
Most of my days watching movies on Exodus & watch youtube through LG 65" OLED.

So far i used Huat88 & MyIpTv. Best one so far to me is "MyIpTv" because Huat88 is not really stable & has too many wrong subtitles.

HONG KONG, June 5, 2017 - (ACN Newswire) - Tens of thousands of consumers of illegal TV services in Asia have lost their connections in recent weeks, as enforcement action against networks operating through illicit streaming devices (ISDs[1]) picks up speed. Asian regional pay-TV association CASBAA applauded recent police actions in Thailand and Malaysia, which resulted in takedowns and arrests of operators of ISD networks.

that's the risk.

"The criminal syndicates selling ISDs have defrauded many consumers into believing their services were legitimate," said CASBAA Chief Policy Officer John Medeiros. "They are not. And anyone buying an illicit IPTV box takes the risk of losing their money without warning when the network is taken down."

ya, the heat is on, everywhere.

there was a time going back 5 years, most APKS work very well, very stable.

since a year ago, many have to run, hide and morph to stay alive! biggrin.gif

to get decent stuff, one has really got to keep up now, KODI or other APKs.
