I can confirm my Samsung R7 definitely has issues. I was at the store just now and when there's no AV signal, the screen is black/dark. On mine, its a freaking dark blue. No wonder I can't get the black levels down no matter what i tried. Now, what are they gonna do when the technician comes over? Send it back to the factory and replace one with the possibility of having dead pixels? I have such bad luck when it comes to buying these things.

^ Yes, i know what u're talking about..
I've set mine NOT to display a blue screen, so it should display a black screen when there's no signal, however, on mine, I get dark blue. On the shop just now, its really black or a dark screen with the "no input" words I've set my Power settings to HIGH.. same crap. I thought my room is dark but no..its just as well lit as those shops. |

^ Aiya, up to now, MS is still not doing anything about those hack DVD drive firmware..so ppl who are using ahem games are still playing online on LIVE.
On a side note, the Samsung technicians came over to look my Samsung R7. As expected they say nothing is wrong with it..duh..but i kept insisting that the dark blue background is not acceptable. They're now going to bring another R7 unit to my house to do a comparison just to shut me up. |

Yep, if they're wrong, i'm getting the new one. They also asked me if I'm interested in upgrading to the R8. Lets see how much i need to top up.. if not, I can always go for the S8 which i think its still better than the R7

Its kinda sad that the PS3 thread is mainly used for talking about Bluerays and upscaling. (heck, its supposed to be a game console). Then again, whats there to talk about regarding the PS3? Basically, there's nothing much u can do with the PS3 in terms of games..for now.
On the other hand, look at the 360 forums. That's what it should be, about games...and 3ROD.  oh, string..welcome back. LYN is "different" without u. |

Really? I bought Forza 2 last night and I was trying so hard to keep awake while playing it. Good thing i found a buyer for it. Phew!!
