Yeah it is supposed to be that way. But I'm not sure if there is any interference of reliability problem of homeplugs because I haven't read much about this technology.

Guys, think about it. We live in Malaysia, a tropical country with lots of thunderstorms. Do u think its wise to connect u'r PS3 ethernet port directly to the wall plug? Maybe i'm just paranoid but i wouldn't. Just my 2 cents. blush.gif

if possible don't directly connected it. there was once, lightning struck, eventually the built in network port on the motherboard died.

there are several precautions :

1) AC inlet - Surge Current
Precaution : do not always on/off yr devices as there will be inrush current
and yr lifetime of yr devices will be shorten
Solution : Use a isolated power transformer/UPS

2)Antenna -Lighning -Very hazardous
Precaution : Yr devices will be fried.
Solution : Use a proper adapter which prevent frm lighning /for 100% protection -disconnect yr antenna.

3)Ethernet -Lightning
Solution : Disconnect it.

He's in Manchester so I don't think it's feasible for you to get the game from the same retailer as him laugh.gif

Use wireless. the 60GB version has build in wireless. And if anyone has problem staying online using wireless, its probally because of the SSID username and password. Once i disabled that it works fine. And for some routers, u have to enable the "UPnP" and set a static IP for ur PS3.

Only "if" u are having problems getting online using wireless.
