Think it must be a mistake by some operations guy following blindly straight to the letter. Didn't Blizzard explicitly mentioned Malaysia last time in their press conference when BC broke xxx million copies in sales?

EDIT: http://www.blizzard.com/press/070123.shtml <-- Here, shove this back to Blizzard.

There won't be any problem. Besides, Blizzard has a digital download and it wasn't restricted to any nations. Good thing too because some ppl won't have to self import anymore and pay $$$$ for international shipping. We are lucky that we only need to pay additional RM6 max to get the physical copy.

I posted up a question about it with a link to the Customer Service Forum. And the link was removed with no explaination. O_O You can see that a Blues edited it.

I'm suspecting that it's the 10-day free trial key that you got online. Lung is right about the press release - if there is such a substantial amount of players in Malaysia, they wouldn't be hunting everyone of us down. lilzany is right too about the digital download but i suspect that we need to get the CD key and start paying the subscription straight and not the free trial. Didn't realise that they stop the Free-for-All trial keys.

denistan07, did they ever reply to you after that?

And I was still able to log in this morning with no issues.

.......i LOL

if u wanna know how they track you so fast try start with 1G transfer then 10G then 50G then 100G. Using this data you can track how efficient Blizz track and bann u. Good luck. rolleyes.gif

I email to their acc admin again on Mar 13, stating the terms of use and the differences in the 10days trial and normal account creation. My account was using the normal account creation procedure which does not show the country limitation as being shown in the "Free 10 days trail". So far, no reply from blizzard yet, I am still waiting.

They're not known to be fast in cases like these. Few friends that got the suspension/ban said that they had to wait for up to a week for a response and that's if they're lucky.

One friend who bought gold managed to get her account unbanned and to a temporary suspension instead. There are rare cases that this can happen but I'm not sure whether it will continue to happen. She still pays the game but now doesn't buy gold anymore.

Blizzard may ban that account but you are free to create another account with another full-game-version CD-key. They probably will watch you more closely though if your personal details matches the previous account.

Your best bet would be via Asiasoft since you did mentioned that they will be also looking into this matter.

don't have too high hope... do expect blizz will reply you something like, pls don't email them any more, the case has been closed, and they will not look into it any more.

ya... and cases like that take a while.

anyway, if u really enjoy the game... just get the cds pack.
it's available at most of the ori software/game shops.

anyway, ur char is only Lv 15 rite? so ur dmg isn't that great.

my HK buddy got banned b4 TBC, he got a Lv 60 mage w T1+T2+PVP gears, rev w most factions. Imagine the time+effort he had invested.

His a/c gone 4ver, and no explanations from blizz.

He nvr bot nor buy gold or violated any blizz rules.

all we know, he shared the same path as many of his countrymen in HK.

all the best, dude! icon_rolleyes.gif

One thing about US companies, they like to crit everyone with so much legal text that very hard to understand.

Kepala pusing.

Probably they did send it to your friend but so much words, very hard to see.

Or, they put up a public announcement and expect everyone to view it via that announcement.

Legal companies don't do that because they want to, it's because they have to. ><

honestly, they didn't.

My fren has sent them a couple of emails. All he got is something like this, "sorry to inform you that your a/c has been banned, due to our findings/investigations".

I read the mail too, nothing complicated.

the last mail he got it's, someting like - "dude, F*** OFF! pls stop emailing us. U won't get it back! stop bugging us"... in a nice+formal way.

Yeah, that was their strategy. Any bit of vagueness can be use to exploit and screw others (but mostly to cover their ass).

Hey myremi, great post you did in the WoW forums. Can u please cut and paste if there's any official response from Blizzard. Will appreciate it.

Meh, I'm still alive and am waiting for 10-day evaluation to finish so I can upgrade.

Oceanic servers here. Hopefully no ban- I want my characters back!

I'd be careful though. I think it's :

-Online-10-day-trial key from website : BAN
-Trial Key from another player via Recruit-a-Friend : Maybe BAN. Not sure.
-Trial Key from Retail Box : Shouldn't be because the paper with the key does not state that it's only for 4 countries only. Plus, it's also not stated on their Trial Key FAQ online.

Blizz never answered back my question so I don't know what is their position. Waiting for a reply to denistan07 2nd email.

The only way that you will not get ban is that you create an account and immediately put in the retail key + subscription / game card. No trial account created.
