READ THIS.

So much proud being Malaysians. We are not allowed to play in US server. Great.

btw, fyi, these are the links:

create account:
https://signup.worldofwarcraft.com/menu.html

create free 10 days Wow account: https://signup.worldofwarcraft.com/trial/10dayfreetrial.htm
It does states on the 1st paragrah:
Please note that this promotion is only valid in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. If you are located in Europe, please click here for the World of Warcraft European Trial Site.

Terms of Use:
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/legal/termsofuse.html

My account was created using guess pass cdkey and registered as malaysian residing in malaysia and paid using a malaysia bank credit card to upgrade to retail version, and of course, I created my account under the normal create account option.

Account created and played on Feb 20, 2007. Banned on Mar 02, 2007. USD19.90 for 10 days game play. USD1.99 per day. good price for money.

***Notice of Account Closure***

Greetings,

Access to the World of Warcraft account DENNISTAN07, and all World of Warcraft accounts associated with the payment information you have provided, has been permanently disabled. The account was created circumventing the valid account creation procedure, violating the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. The recurring subscription on the account has been disabled to prevent further charges.

It is implicitly stated on the account creation page that: This account creation process is only available to customers in North America, New Zealand, Australia, and Singapore. When this account was created, the standard, valid, creation method was circumvented, thus invalidating the account and subjecting it to closure.

As a result, the account(s) will no longer be accessible in any way and will not be reopened under any circumstances. Thank you for your time and understanding in this matter.

Any disputes or questions concerning this account action can only be addressed by Account Administration. To learn more about how Account Administration is able to assist you, please visit us at http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowaa/.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter and respecting our position and all statutes within the World of Warcraft Terms of Use.

Regards,

Oh shit, the coming of an end?  shocking.gif

This can't be right Sendi Mutiara is a legal distributer of Blizzard games in our country, and they're distributing WoW. Don't tell me we're not "allowed" to play WoW in the first place?

So what happens to the money we paid?

Before that mind telling us what kind of information did you put in when registering for WoW?
*
Sorry folks. Its Asiasoft, not Sendi Mutiara any more.
Well, they banned me and giving me a GOOD READSON for it. read it. hope you guys understand that paragraph.

cause Blizzard are fags? GG

I don't know how did they manage to find and catch you so fast. I've been playing for over a year and I've known alot of guildsmate which never encountered this issue.

Did you put in your REAL NAME and ADDRESS and selected your REAL country in your account info AFTER you activated it?
*
I believe it is only apply to new accounts.
Yeah. I use all true identity in the registration, no fakes. I have immediately created another account on Mar 02 after the closure. BANNED again on Mar 05. same explaination from acc admin too. too lazy to post it again. Got both email reply from blizz on Mar 07.

I think you might have to be more aggressive (but be diplomatic about it). They say that you are in violation of their Terms of Usage.

If you answer yes to any of these, they will ban that account :

1. Access to your account e.g. sharing passwords. Blizzard doesn't like this at all, even if you are sharing passwords with family.
2. Sell Gold
3. Buy Gold. If they catch a gold farmer, they will trace all transactions back to the customer who bought the gold and ban gold buyers too.
4. Selling a lot of stuff for RL money. They can't prove that the financial transaction has taken place but if there's a lot of transferring between different characters, they will ban first and wait for answers later. If transferring between alts or accounts that are under the same name, they shouldn't be banning you.
This seems to be the explaination from them. How did you create the account and did you use the WoW Launcher or bypass that? If you bypass the Launcher, they will suspect that you are hacking, etc. and would ban you.

If you did not violate the Terms of Usage, go and defend your case but make it a strong one. Not offensive or rude as that will get you nowhere. But state your case clearly and reitierate it. Also, ask them for specific details pertaining to the ban.

Come on, i am a level 15 hunter. how rich can i be? trying to sell 1G for RM$0.30 and risk my 19.90USD subscription? What am I stupid or insane?

Well, I have contacted asiasoft WoW customer support and they are looking into this matter seriously.

The email reply i got from blizzard is very SPECIFIC. it doesnt point to any other abuses or violation of TOU. It just say simply meaning I am a Malaysian. You are not allowed here. We welcome United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or Singapore only, period. Thats what i got for my USD19.90.

Posting this thread as a warning to ALL you guys out there to watch out and becareful unless Asiasoft has a reply from Blizzard official authority. If not, everything is still a myth. The account admin are working in black box operation. We never know what they will do, and all they can do is CLOSE account! they are best at that! Good Luck everyone.

Half of my HK guildies are gone, 'cos Blizz banned them permanently, as Blizz associate HK as China.

according to 1 of my HK guildies, he said apparently from HK's game forum site, Blizz banned lotsa HK players in US server w/o giving any specific reasons. No matter how hard they wrote to blizz, polite, hostile, threaten w legal action, "are u being racist?", the reply is the same, telling them "F*** OFF NOOB! Stop writing to us! We r not giving u ur a/c back!" in a nice way.

in 1 incident, a HK player was banned like dennistan07, he was like Lv 10 paladin.  shocking.gif

for that, Blizz really buffed the HK players with more "RAGE".  vmad.gif

I posted up a question about it with a link to the Customer Service Forum. And the link was removed with no explaination. O_O You can see that a Blues edited it.

I'm suspecting that it's the 10-day free trial key that you got online. Lung is right about the press release - if there is such a substantial amount of players in Malaysia, they wouldn't be hunting everyone of us down. lilzany is right too about the digital download but i suspect that we need to get the CD key and start paying the subscription straight and not the free trial. Didn't realise that they stop the Free-for-All trial keys.

denistan07, did they ever reply to you after that?
And I was still able to log in this morning with no issues.
*
I email to their acc admin again on Mar 13, stating the terms of use and the differences in the 10days trial and normal account creation. My account was using the normal account creation procedure which does not show the country limitation as being shown in the "Free 10 days trail". So far, no reply from blizzard yet, I am still waiting.

I'd be careful though. I think it's :

-Online-10-day-trial key from website : BAN
-Trial Key from another player via Recruit-a-Friend : Maybe BAN. Not sure.
-Trial Key from Retail Box : Shouldn't be because the paper with the key does not state that it's only for 4 countries only. Plus, it's also not stated on their Trial Key FAQ online.

Blizz never answered back my question so I don't know what is their position. Waiting for a reply to denistan07 2nd email.

The only way that you will not get ban is that you create an account and immediately put in the retail key + subscription / game card. No trial account created.

3 days ago, I purposely create 2 more account using the guest pass cdkey from the retail box i bought in Low yat. One cdkey I paid for the retail upgrade. The other I just verify with my credit card only. And now I just let these 2 accounts to sit there after after an ID. And see what happen after 10 days.

Now, nobody can tell for sure that his/her account can be NOT BANNED for sure. Blizzard is really a black box operation mode when account adminstration is concern. Who knows what new ways they can think off to squeece more money out of us?

Taiwan server is readying TBC now. I am downloading it now as i write this reply. Friends, lets move on to taiwan mann.
