QUOTE(MattAces @ Apr 27 2017, 07:20 PM) Just using your statement as an advise for everybody, didn't know it will offend you so much. They want to earn your money, you can buy them without any problem, until you have a problem that you need them to solve, good luck calling the US customer service. They don't have a live chat too. Similar to PSN US, almost everybody has a US PSN, few months ago, some accounts were hacked, from changing password to randomly buying stuff to waste the fund. Can't do anything about it unless you manage to convince them you are from US, verify every information. I would say, will they actually go out and lock your account, prevent you to access US eshop, ban your account? Definitely no. But if you face any problem, whether it's password recovery or anything that requires a verification, they have the rights to not help you, since you are going against their terms and condition. What difference does it make when Malaysia doesnt even have its own Nintendo region or representative to turn to when the incidences you mentioned happen? You sign up with Asia region also, Malaysia isnt recognized by Nintendo to apply that "aftersale service" you so much put emphasis upon. It's even a moot case now since Nintendo themselves mention games being region free. I've had games purchased digitally since the original PSP days and PS3 on PSN, and I've just downloaded on my PS Vita today. That's 6 years back. If you're talking about physical games being resellable and digital isn't, I'd give you that. Especially since there are games that are priced the same, digital or physical. Recent NPD numbers reports that almost 75% of games purchased have gone digital. Digital sales kills middlemen entities that take profit from reselling physical games by pricing them higher. Digital games allows everyone access to the same content irregardless where they are. That's what we should be cheering for, not encouraging another Maxsoft.

So, it's an actual SEA copy instead of joint SEA/US version?

QUOTE(nill @ Apr 29 2017, 10:24 AM) kuroneko0509, could you add stringfellow recommendation in the first post for powerbank and adapter? stringfellow, from whom you bought Anker PowerPort+ 5 USB-C AK-A2053111? From Lelong, a seller called DirectMY. No longer in stock at the moment. 11street has a seller as well.

QUOTE(greyshadow @ May 3 2017, 08:23 AM) My local stores here are selling at RM289 Anyway, how to see the full game list in the e-shop??? I only can see Latest Games, & Best Seller, and neither list all games Go to search window, type nothing. Click the search icon. QUOTE(tnsai @ May 3 2017, 02:16 PM) So what do you guys think about MK8 so far? Still on the fence.. Already played the hell out of the Wii U version... so not sure if it's worth the rm 250 (from e-shop) Thanks to me not playing much if at all, on WiiU, am enjoying it too much. I bring my Switch everywhere I go now just to complete a cup, a time trial and playing online. Currently hunting Gold kart parts. Had play sessions with Aussies last night, very solid connection between 8-12 players. Already not liking the whole scramble nature of the game, if you're stuck in the middle of the pack, you're stuck there, period. Only when you break away to the top 3-4 is when you won't get bombarded with shells left and right. Maybe I treat it too much like a racing game....

QUOTE(tnsai @ May 3 2017, 04:37 PM) Any of you guys tried multiplayer via the switch joycons only ? haha one of the reasons i am considering getting it is because my eldest daughter likes it.. and wondering what the experience is using the joycons when we wait for my wife to do her shopping (use case scenario that often happens lol) Split JoyCons. I don't like them in the grip. I still prefer the Pro Controller over everything else.

QUOTE(tnsai @ May 3 2017, 06:11 PM) Oh i meant like split joycon.. each player with one side of the joycon The problem with JoyCons on grip or on the Switch itself is that the back is flat, there's nothing to grasp for comfort. With split JoyCons your palm and fingers wrap around the JoyCons providing a comfortable grip itself. If you've played Switch as much as I do on long extended period of time, you'll see what I mean by comfort. If you're just playing "for fun" or "short bursts", by all means, use whatever config you like. Inb4 "buy JoyCon silicone covers or hard cases that adds bumps at the back for comfort". Silicone covers attracts dust over time and with finger and palm grease, it'll get worse. And buying covers for JoyCons just shows that either Nintendo didn't think about palm grip comfort or didn't think about comfort usage over extended period of time. I've played MK8D over 8 hours nonstop and Zelda BOTW well over 10-16 hours with small breaks in between (the hours in the Parental Control app can prove it) and it's either split JoyCons or the Pro Controller for me. Never had a WIFI problem with my Nintendo Switch.
I live the life intended by Nintendo with regard to its Switch: Home Console and portable mode. When at home, stays transfixed into its dock, and double digit hours of MK8D as of recent. When I'm outside, I'm really outside, also double-digit hours on gaming while outside, not nearby any fixed hotspots like Starbucks, and even when I'm there, I use my own portable MiFi to get online. Starbucks WiFi is pitifully poor in bandwidth and connection quality. And when I'm outside, the Switch stays constantly connected to the Huawei E5786 portable Mifi powered by DiGi's unlimited quota mobile broadband. If there's any weakness in that equation, it's DiGi's line: coverage is spotty. Speed can be spotty IF you're streaming PS4 games via Remote Play, and do that a lot now with my Vita playing Persona 5 wherever I go as well.
And when I'm outside, I don't stay at one place. I travel by bus, by LRT and by Uber/Grab. I travelled back from Putrajaya yesterday using Nadi Putra 500 bus from Putrajaya Sentral to Kotaraya, and had a blast playing online multiplayer MK8D while seated in the bus. I do the same in LRT as well (although coverage gets bad when underground), even while standing in the LRT as well (I just wedge myself into the corner and lean into it while gaming). All this happens while the Switch and the Vita being connected to the E5786 MiFi. Never once did it lose connection, and the MiFi is in the Waterfield bag, not anywhere close to the two devices. If I ever lose connection to being online, it's the fault of DiGi's network, not the wireless quality of the Switch (it stays connected, but not getting any internet connection because of DiGi's spotty service).
Before anyone suggest moving away from DiGi, until the other telcos provide a bigger quota plan (which must allow tethering), I don't have a choice at this moment. Maxis and Celcom detects tethering on higher quota plans and "network-shape" that connection that severely limits the speed. And normal "talk + data" plans have shitty data quota. No single plan on the market now caters to cases like mine, although cases like mine is niche anyway. Maxis has good coverage but pitiful quota, the same with Celcom. I've tested my usage pattern for a month, and I'm left with my Celcom's "weekend data quota" left, weekday quota is gone. Celcom 10GB weekday and 10GB weekend. And most of that quota has gone to streaming P5 to Vita. Switch online connection takes very little data bandwidth.
This post is to balance out the negative connotation about Switch's bad Wifi. I did not experience any on mine. I go places with tons of hotspots flooding the airwaves and I'm still connected to the MiFi, and I wouldn't consider that MiFi strength is better than a fixed router WiFi's strength. If there is a complain I have about the Switch, it's the pitiful output through that headphone jack: I can use my Apple Earpods and get sufficiently loud volume at less than half the volume meter from my Vita, but even at full max volume, I can hardly hear the output from the Switch.

How would you play Ultra Street Fighter II on the Switch? Like this? I'd rather slit my throat than be seen doing this. Do the motion moves on the controller or kill me already.

Yup. That gay ass move you need to do to execute Tatsumaki Senpukyaku or Hurricane Kick. "Retarded" is an understatement.

QUOTE(Chocobos @ May 17 2017, 09:18 AM) Looks like a normal exercise routine to me haha! Never knew people do Shoryukens and Hadoukens in their aerobics routine. That gay arm swing......maybe. Or maybe that Shoryuken move is a gamer's way of shyly showing how small their arm muscles are infront of the gym mirror, you know.....as how those bodybuilders/fitness freaks flex themselves like a peacock infront of the mirror after each set?

QUOTE(tnsai @ May 17 2017, 02:35 PM) Hopefully those motions are limited only to that "bonus game" and even better if you can do it with regular controls.. Here's the kicker: only in first person mode. But the other kicker: no proper d-pad on Switch to do precise quarter-circle motion to play USFII on the Switch properly. Inb4 "use Pro Controller", that's like plastering a band-aid over a problem instead of solving it - offer single side JoyCon with proper d-pad as bundled together with the game. That'll make the USD39.99 price for a game that's more than 10 years old more palatable.

Read back previous version of this thread: any cable that end with USB-A type connector can only deliver 5V 1.5-2A maximum (2A depending on capability of your powerbank/charger and if your Switch is capable of "handshaking" that power delivery request from that power source). Power delivery capability drops to the lowest denominator, the USB-A connector in this case, capable of 5V1.5-2A max. Source? Me. Did an extensive write-up on charging the Switch and the go, even my recommendation got picked up as the best possible powerbank and external third part charger outside of Nintendo, and that was posted in the previous version of this thread. Not gonna repeat that here again. If there were any power consumption readout report I'd trust, it'll be from Anandtech, not that Digital Foundry article. http://www.anandtech.com/show/11181/a-look...r-consumption/2This post has been edited by stringfellow: May 22 2017, 10:01 PM
