i format rn4 want to give to my mom to use,
but during the setup (part where u key in your Language/region/gmail etc etc) it keep saying that this device is link to my old mi acc which i totally forgot about the login details.

it keep on asking me to login the mi acc to continue set up and i cant skip the part , how? anyone got this problem before?

try flash using mi flash tool.
i think it will erase it.

Rm549 with rm40 voucher for RN4X 3GB32GB , presumably AP set, already cheap enough?

Or better go for other phones?

Redmi 5 does not support QC, software limited. Yes, best low budget phone. Can last super long battery. Pokemon (dual acc playing concurrently) can last more than 4+ hours non-stop, till your finger numb. Phone hardly heats up. If you used to 5" phone size, this is the one to get.

RN4 is slightly faster. Battery also good.

But if you got budget, go for for Redmi 5 Plus. King of mid-range phone. If you are used to 5.5" phone size, this is the one.

Using all 3 above, that's my 2 cents comment.

That's i cant even remember the login for the Hotmail so even if can they will send some line to the email lol

And i did google its like some kinda of well known issues on rn4 and miui9 it will get locked out
But the methods i try also not working

bought this normal plastic sp for 10rmb (3 pcs pack) and so far so good. easy to apply.

so far have tried tempered glass full screen, non full screen, tpu screen protector and now this.

Last time I try Wireless display / direct broadcast to my smart tv using RN4 but failed. Then today I stream youtube and suddenly pop out notification to broadcast to my tv and it work! Now I can browse photo and even surf the net using my tv... so jakun... hahahah
