I'm pretty sure seller has absolutely no control, and my 3 transactions were with different sellers, and I've used them before with no CB issues.

On a related note, I also did 2 Shopee transactions with my Quantum card on the same day and around same time, and guess what? CS says they are online!!! I haven't received my statement for Quantum yet as first statement will be generated 2 June. Super weird right??

My only speculation is perhaps statement cut off date? It's purely speculation... But transactions were on 1 May, posted 4 May and statement on 5 May? Doesn't make sense either... But I can't for the life of me understand what happened.

Anyway, I hope no one encounters same problem. I'm going to do a few tests tomorrow and check with CS once they're posted to confirm if online.

Anyway, thanks to both of you for trying to help me solve this mystery. Always appreciate the help and ideas.

You can BT a huge amount to pay your principal, then transfer to your supps. I always do this... Pay off all my many many many supps.

The tried and tested principals to other principals and supps is as follows - Maybank, PBB, HLB, Ambank and CIMB. Just call and instruct how much you want to pay off each card.

I always use the mobile app - and so far have never had an issue.

Experimenting with 3 Shopee swipes today using different cards - Principal VS, Supp VS and Supp Quantum. Will call CS once they're posted in next few days to confirm if all online.

That's week 8 la. So far we're only at Week 6 cashback. Be patient.

No response to my e-mail query yet. Normally they respond faster than this.

I also JUST called CS to check on my 8 and 9 May Shopee transactions (tried for several principal and supp cards). Apparently they're "online" and will be eligible for cashback. CS kept wondering why I kept asking again and again and again.

Which is of course what I did, but they said my e-mail is still being processed by the relevant department and they will respond in due course. They said they can only read what in on their system (like line item, MCC code, online / manual etc), but they can't investigate details.

I am very very persistent in getting information from CS.

I posted info on this a while ago - They said my 3 transactions on 1 May were "manual" transactions, but all my others are "online". That's all they could tell me.

Best to check their individual ratings. I use a variety and all ok so I choose based on discount offered.

I JUST got my kettle recently (last week) even though I applied in January and fulfilled spending requirements on 30 January. Took 3.5 months in total. It was so long that I forgot about it!

I love the kettle btw... It is really nice to use. Threw my old Phillips one away immediately!

4. I don't know what CS says, but many forummers including myself have reported they got cashback. I have already received RM50 for 7 weeks. If you prefer to rely on CS then that's fine too. Risk and rewards are for you to decide.

Btw, regarding my query to CS about not receiving cashback for Shopee on 1 May... I still haven't gotten a reply!

Interesting. I just sent my follow-up e-mail to PBB. If they're taking so long to reply, it could be that the problem is at their end instead of Shopee. Fingers crossed. I want my money!
