UPDATE ON SHOPEE NO CASHBACK ISSUE!

Received a response from CS via e-mail:

"We wish to inform that the crediting has been done. You may refer to the adjustment in your next statement".

WOW. Seems like PBB error? I strongly recommend all of you with Shopee transactions to check and reconcile your statements, and write in to PBB if you notice a discrepancy. I will report if the adjustment is really made when my statement comes out.

Can't wait to get my statements on the 2nd of June to check if all my Shopee transactions will get the 6% CB. Been running out of things to spend for the Promo and have to resort to advance bill payments.

After this week, its just 8 weeks left! RM3,200 of spending to plan for lol.

When CS (Ying) contacted me about crediting the CB for 1 May Shopee transactions, I asked her about the rest of the May transactions too. She stated that apparently, all the Shopee transactions that I made on May (8,15,22) are all not tagged as online and I will need to wait until the statement came out only appeal. I still continue to swipe 8x @ Shopee every Monday though

Oh man. If that's the case I'm going to have to do a lot of work dealing with all my supp cards one by one!

So you donated to UNICEF on an irregular basis? Is it tax deductible for non-regular donations?
Also I thought Maybank AMEX weekend 5%?
*
Tax decuctibility is not affected by payment frequency. As long as it's an approved donation, then you can take a deduction.

Amex - he's adding the value of 5x treat points.

Damn, that's a lot of money for paying bills. I think I can only get 8x for the first week of the month. I can get 6 swipes from Unifi and 2 swipes from UMobile. After that I'm out of bills to pay lol. I could overpay my bills just to get 8 swipes, but I don't think it's worth it.
*
My spending looks very similar, although I also buy lots of AEON vouchers (to get the department store 5% using PBB Quantum Visa) and AEONBig gift cards (to get the 6% grocery using PBB VS).

I only got RM20 for Week 9 as my last swipe was on a Wednesday night (I miscounted and only realised I had one outstanding later on).

Did anyone swipe on/after Wednesday and get the full cashback? I'm trying to ascertain what is the latest "safe" day now that we're in the middle of the campaign and lots of people are participating.

Will let you know for Week11. My last spending was on Wednesday night for petrol. Kinda worried now.

I am now going to be very disciplined and swipe on Monday. Was getting quite complacent until I got a nasty shock with my Week 9 lol. Was confident that Wed should have been OK but apparently not. Hoping others report on their last swipe too so that we can have an indication of last dates.

Just got my June statements.

Most of my Shopee transactions in May (from my various principals VS & Quantum) except for ONE qualified for the 6% cashback. I've just e-mailed CS to request for my missing cashback.

Quite annoying that this missing cashback is very random. Descriptions on the bills are all identical and all my transactions are around the same time same date. Not sure why or how some are "missing".

Just managed to squeeze in my 8x swipes before midnight today (Monday). From Weeks 11 to 13, I did my 8th swipe on Tuesday (some on Tuesday night) so I'll have to see whether they get the full RM50, or only RM20. Fingers crossed!

My statement only cashbank = amount.

Manual tracking and then call CS to go down line by line on those you suspect didn't qualify.

Espresso Lab (at KPMG / IBM Tower, office block next to 1Utama) is eligible for 6% cashback under Dining (PBB VS and Quantum Mastercard).

Best still, if you use your Quantum Mastercard, its B1F1 all day. And paywave function. 2 regular lattes for RM12.90, plus 5/6% cashback. Coffee is better than Starbucks.

I never used Shopee before, so I'm just wondering: if I want to pay my Unifi bill with RM50x3 transactions, then I just purchase RM50x3 right? The seller will make 3 transactions of RM50 instead of one transaction of RM150?
Thanks, will do just that.
*
Depends. If all from one seller, they may pay as a lump sum unless you give specific instructions. But it makes no difference to you. It will still be counted as 3 swipes for you.

Once balance transfer to principal, how do you pay off the remainder supplementary cards' outstanding amount? Call up CS?

Yepp. It's very easy. Just say transfer whatever amount to whatever card. Will be cleared in 1-2 days max.

I get it now. But they combine like this then is difficult to know which one is eligible, no? I thought we can view something like this, so that we can know exactly which one got cash back and which one didn't
It's always been combined so you have to do manual tracking like all of us. Many of us also call CS to confirm MCC code etc. I don't think any of the cashback banks specifically set out that kind of cashback calculation for you.

I did tell them that Shopee payments are done online however the CS said that for Shopee , in their system , is no more considered as online transactions.
Wasted many transactions for May.
Maybe someone else can call CS and ask why their Shopee transactions were not awarded CB and see what they say.
*
It happened to me and my supps randomly for May and June, such that about 50% of transactions initially didn't get cash back. However, I wrote in (as previously reported) and got my cashback adjusted to the full amount.

Email them. Thats my advice.

Anyway, I didn't speak to Ms Ying either, but I emailed the general CS email and got replies from various people, all saying my cashback would be credited in next statement.

In my experience, telephone CS got all sorts of different information. Writing gives you an email trail in case of dispute, and you can keep following up without incurring a single cent.

Hope you get your cash back too smile.gif

hi all...did PB sort out the shopee transaction counted as online vs not counted issue?

or still it is a hit and miss for shopee transactions? whether it is counted online or not....

thanks!
*
I just received statements (2 Jul) for my principals and numerous supp cards. In June I did 8 Shopee transactions, and all received full cashback.

My July statements also included the cashback adjustments for May Shopee transactions which were missed out.

Looks like its sorted out?
