why is it so hard to provide a speed of 10/20 mbps to citizens outside KL/Selangor area? we are not demanding super fast internet, why are we still stuck with 1/2/4/8 mbps? its now 2017. don need say hk, sg, japan but go and see vietnam, india and thailand, their internet way faster than us. serious joke.

Exactly, I think they should just increase the coverage for unifi.

For unifi lite if tap on existing streamyx infra, the speed and stability will not able to meet the needs eventually also especially for future proof.

There is also limitation of the infra that not all existing area that cannot support this unifi lite too. This explains why they dare not to officially announce it as eventually if ppl see the existence of such service but they cannot sign up, they are likely to make more noise. It is like "can see but cannot touch".
The demand for internet speed will only get higher.

10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload are enough for typical users now but may not for future.

Unifi Lite also use Fibre optic (IP) backbone and either Fibre Optic (FTTP) or existing copper line (VDSL2) at "last mile". So Unifi Lite don't use Streamyx infra till "last mile", otherwise you can use back the same phone number! Voice service at Unifi and Unifi Lite is in fact VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). Streamyx(ADSL) uses the frequency spectrum above the band used by voice telephone calls.

Even if available i would think twice before subscribing....50%? Why cant it be 10%? Profit? I thought TM always take pride in community responsibility..

i find it gross they forced RM50 worth of useless craps:
RM20 - free voice call (can waive *upon request* only)
RM30 - HyppTV apps, seriously??

Should allowed pure internet for RM99,
heck i would even take it if they mark up to RM119.

Well plan ahead. The Unifi installation guide indicates free 50M internal cabling (Entry Wall to FWS to BTU to RG to PC/Phone).

My Unifi Lite installation done last week without the FTB. Black-color Fiber pulled from pole to outside wall where they coiled the fiber for a few rounds(claimed for spare, SOP, but ugly), drilled a hole and on the otherside of the hole the fiber ended on the Fiber Wall socket(FWS), then from FWS a white-color softer fiber is pulled n connected to the BTU.
