I'm a bit confused, is unifi lite fiber optic or copper based? It's RM 129? Can i downgrade, I'm using the older plan vip5 upgraded to 10mbps, don't really need the voice service.

My agent also said this to me will be lower chance to get RM129 for landed because RM129 for low cost flat and apartment. I already tried another agent also, same answer.

it's completely up to whether TM want give u or not.

Indeed getting outdated. Some places no longer offer streamyx, only for UNIFI. Some new houses already doing built in fiber wiring, etc

Look at Page 8... FY2013, 88% Unifi customers were VIP5 (RM149 or less). 1H2016, 32% were still at 5mbps and a large portion of 68% (10mbps or higher) were ex-VIP5 customer who enjoyed free upgrade to 10mbps but still paying RM149 or less. Those VIP5 or ex-VIP5 users are being converted to Unifi Lite. So don't assume many existing customers will go for downgrade from 30/50 to 10. Logically almost none of Unifi 100 users will be interested to downgrade as they can downgrade to 30/50 anytime. Without VIP5(RM149), a lot of existing Streamyx users at new Unifi areas (HSBB2, after 2015) reject TM's offer to upgrade to Unifi 30/50/100.

just wanna ask, lets say im on 8mbps rm149 right now, if my area got 10mbps unifi lite rm129, can i subscribe that cheaper plan? is it known as down or upgrade? cause i know TMnet cannot downgrade

It is an alternative product, not a upgrade or downgrade. Unifi Lite RM129 (RM137 after +GST) doesn't come with free calls (+RM20) and HyppTV box but download at 12mbps(+/-) and upload at 6mbps(+/-); And, Streamyx 8mbps RM140 (RM149 after +GST) enjoyed free calls to TM numbers, HyppTV box, download at 10mbps(+/-) and upload at 1mbps (+/-).

But there is a lot of confusion regarding the availability of the product. Given the chance, I definitely would take the Unifi Lite over streamyx or the higher speed Unifi package.

i am existing streamyx user and when i want to upgrade to unifi lite, they tell me port full. so how to convert when there are no bloody ports available for users like me?! tm no money to install additional ports or what?! 

i subscribed 8mbps rm140 last two weeks. If lets say next month, got unifi lite 10mbps rm129 at my area, can i switch to unifi lite? my contract haven expired. unifi lite i mean here is for streamyx user.

Called TM, ask about unifi lite coverage at my hometown area. They said available and go to TMPoint to upgrade. When I go to TMPoint, they said no coverage. WTF with TM????

another question, i currently subscribed 8mbps with hypptv. But my family never use that hypptv. Can I remove that hypptv subscription and get discount on my 8mbps?
