1) insurance premium at AIA @MyService

Has anyone received call from telemarketer offering to upgrade one classic card to one platinum card with 2 years annual fee waived with condition minimum 5 transactions charged per month?

She claimed that UOB will stop issuing classic card after my one classic card expired and the card will be deactivated.

Sound fishy to me. Could it be a fraud/scam? I didn't take up her offer. I told her I need to verify with CS.

The call was coming from this land line 03-27832276. She claimed that she was calling from UOB HQ.

Can always call back to the card centre to verify. It is possible some marketing dept or 3rd party marketer trying to upgrade card holders too.

I dont think this is a 'great' offer. I believe you should be able to upgrade easily if they really stop issuing classic. They would likely reduce income requirement or waive it. This is my opinion la.

Then when I told her I noticed in their website, YOLO's AF can be waived with 12x swipes, she put me on hold for a while and came back telling me she has checked with respective department and I was right. sweat.gif I will definitely get auto waiver when the time comes. Anyway, let's see if that happens else I will argue with them. tongue.gif

The cashback cycle for UOB YOLO is following the calendar month right? My first transaction is on the 23rd of June with amount RM37.99. So this means this transaction will not be calculated for the cashback right?
