hmm... I share my own experience
1) i called to cancel vox card, so nobody called me. it disappeared from uob online. then on my next statement, there was a line in the transaction saying, vox card has been cancelled
2) called to cancel lady's card. disappeared from uob online. few days later, someone called to retain by offering waiver. the card was back on uob online. same card.
So to answer your question, apparently, not a real 'cut' based on my 2nd experience.
