Wooooooooooooo. If u get the E-Manage then u can plug it in to the car PC n monitor ALL parameters in real time at all times. damn cool man. Sumore when Desmond dyno tune ur car he can just use ur built in PC instead of having to hook up his own laptop.

Integrating this on my best frend's rig in SG currently. Have not really figured where to mouch yet, cos its quite big. And still deciding which chasis to use.

if this has a place integrated in car will be darn cool rclxm9.gif

8" widescreen LCD. ( non touch screen )

VGA input or RCA input. 2choices.

12volt power

hehe, consider it a challenge from the uncle..I'm sure there are places in a kelisa to tuck away a small PC..

Zyntherius, I remember where I got the idea for controlling the ECU by in-car computer..Fast and Furious..man, that was cool, even though it was largely cosmetic in the movie..

heh...not in my car dude.... boot has a 12" sub and under both seats are amplifiers. so confirm no space liao tongue.gif

besides...i dun even want wan oso...

as for controlling ECU with PC/ lappie.. u cant do it on stock ECUs... stock ECU mappings are burned onto the chip. unless of course u get some programmable ones like emanage or haltech

I was thinking about it myself. Bit tricky as you'll need something to interface between the instrument panel signals and the PC. Definitely something with an ADC.

My own plan was to rig up a LED array like the one you cna find on Honda S2000. Not that hard to do with simple electronic components, no need for a PC. But I may never actually get around to doing it..got many other better things to do.

LED arrays can do one..but interface firmware lehh ECU alone cannot interpret the signal lehh...

Hi guys, I got an almost new Liliput 619 7" touchscreen for sale.

Almost like new, only tested on workbench. Never installed on cars yet. CarPC project put on hold due to insufficient funds.

Will throw in a 12v ATX DC regulated PSU (120W). Plug and play. Easy setup.

All for RM1k only.

Will also give out a special version of stripped out XP for fast bootup times.

PM me for more details and appt to view merchandize.

You need a startup / shutdown controller. Easiest way is to rig a switch at the ignition. Turn on ignition, u turn on the PC as well.

You can setup your carpc so that it will boot directly into a frontend that supports it.

But I suggest against it tough... Imagine BSOD when you're running t 200km/h shocking.gif

LOL...

Imagine if you'd hooked up the ECU to it...

And bro, post up your stuff on sale at the garage sales (automotive garage subsection), and link from here to there.
