Hi everyone,

For those who have Astro on the go account please help me to check whether you can view any live channels or play any tv shows or movies from Astro on the go website..

For me its not playing any content, the icon just keep circling..

So it's my browser problem..

Done reinstalling the extension but didnt work also.

I really hate Windows 10 now..

Firefox also cant install the plugin..

Using Edge cannot login to Astro on the go

having the same issue, stuck on loading screen but mine is on both PC browsers and phone app.

And even if i want to remove the device (which allows only 2) on astro settings and re-add, they only allow 1 switch-out per month. !!!!

i can say that Astro On The Go is useless and most of time incompatible.
I can't run it at my Windows 10 OS, cannot run in MacOS
it only can work in iOS (iPhone and iPad).
No solution can be given by Astro!

Anybody experiencing access problem on Astro Go app lately? Something about georestriction.
Tried accessing astro go web portal and was greeted with the same error.

I'm on clean direct connection...no vpn or tunneling whatsoever. WHOIS IP result shows I'm in Malaysia.
Is this TM related problem? coz I've no problem accessing those with my umobile internet.
Unifi subscriber here.

looks like really Astro On The Go is blocking you based on your IP.

Maybe you have some VPN software running?

My Astro on The Go is working fine

Yup the symptoms did look like I was behind some VPN but I wasn't.
I had been away from VPN for many years already...last use was during Celcom 1Malaysia broadband era (that so-called ghost simcard you remember haha)

If you perform IP lookup for that IP on the picture (147.158.101.121) on various IP tools websites, most of them would show Malaysia. The only website with different result is www.whois.com.au which showed New Zealand as the country of origin.

At first I thought it was that D-Link 850 that play funny, so I removed the router and setup PPPoE connection to the fiber modem directly from a laptop. Still...with the same problem...even after IP renewal several times.
Clock and location for all devices connected were checked with proper setting.

All these only start happening early December this month and only on my Unifi. Have no problem accessing through my umobile data connection rclxub.gif

Could be that TM acquires new IP range for the Unifi network and that new IP range is not recognized by Astro on The Go as local Malaysian IP.

So damn annoying.

Could be. I don't know how the app acquires georestriction info but if it works just like you said astro can simply come up with an update to their apps

Good move bro!! Hope those out there plagued with this georestriction thingy to make a report to astro.

As for my case, I explained the issue yet they confidently told me not to run the app on VPN. I insisted I wasn't on any and I'm pretty sure of it...a week has elapsed...no reply since!

Astro Go is really worst service. It can only run on iOS and Android.
Can’t even run at my MacOS and windows at all.

If got problem call Astro to reset your account.
Because I kena previously.
Keep popping error playback.
Call Astro they said will reset account and suddenly works.

guys,
one question.
I downloaded latest AOTG app on my iphone 6 Plus and put it the login ID.
My iphone 6 plus is the second device share the login ID.
Open the apps only to realize that all the TV channels missing, only can watch the on demand movies.

But for my first device(redmi note 4) everything worked very well.

can somebody here can explain what happen?

I've never tried that but theoretically should not be a problem. Don't you have DRM engine error problem?

I got this problem (DRM engine error) after updated Windows 10 to latest version 1803 yesterday. Tried reinstall Astro plugin and video driver still not working. mad.gif No problem watching AOTG on android phone.

I'm using Window 7 (after I've installed a new hard disk and reinstall Window 7) and I have this DRM engine error. I was using Window 7 and it was ok

Speaking of Astro-on-the-go, can anyone actually tell me what the screen settings 1 to 7 really are. I mean some are obvious: 4:3 aspect, letterbox, widescreen... but some look the same as others, or I can't tell the difference.

There is one more thing you can try. Login to the Astro OTG site on your PC. Then click on the top right Person icon and try log out from all devices (this will log you out from your Android as well), and try relog again.

Last time i having problem with the astro plugin in chrome (downloaded the plugin frm astro website but the installer wont installed ) . After few months i try again and it work ,

Check ur Astro account device setting izit already login with 4 devices then check ur internet wan ip address , sked TM assign u new ip range which cant recognized by astro as MY ip range .

I think DRM engine error is related to DRM licensing , try update ur microsoft .net framework to ver 4.6.1 or above .
If after update .net still cant then u might try update the meltdown security patches , i think they add/update some DRM licensing for security purpose which might help to repair ur previous corrupted/missing DRM licensing .

I installed astro go on my iPad and Android phone, both are spinning when loading channel, both devices are not rooted it jb.. Anyone know why?

Btw, both devices can load awani and arena channel (only)..

Try go download ResetDRM tool , it is .exe file . If ur windows cant run it , rename the file extention to .zip and unzip it run the exe file inside the zip folder . It will reset the DRM

Glad it works for you too. I found this solution by coincidence while I was troubleshooting file sharing issues among 2 home PCs after upgraded to Windows 10 version 1803. Google search advised a network reset which it didn't fix the file sharing issue but I got my Astro back. biggrin.gif

Side track on file sharing issue:
The PCs could see each other in Network explorer but can't drill in to access shared folders. This issues later got resolved by setting IPv4 as preferred network. It was IPv4 before 1803 update. A simple way to check it is ping localhost in command prompt and see what it returns. 127.0.0.1 or a IPv6 address. smile.gif

are you on Celcom network? I got this issue too, Then I switched to my other simcard just to login.

After successful login then I switched back to my Celcom network to watch Astro on The Go.

i purchased world cup pass for 120rm. I have win10 laptop and latest chrome. Downloaded the player extensions. Trying to watch qualify matches which was broadcasting but only audio in coming NO video. I am using unifi 50mbps LAN connection. what happened?

I have same issue , no streaming from chrome . only audio and there no video . please help.

TV1 streaming is better than astro,not sure why they are not fixing it.

Thanks for the instruction.

Have tried but no use , Firefox plugin is not responding and browser is hung. More over using the old version is huge risk for security concerns.

I am left out of all options now , technology is improved so much and yet unable to stream paid content .....:-(

I had the same no video only audio problem on chrome.

I just let it play for a while and eventually the video stream will appear. It took like 2-3 minutes in my case.

If you get the failed to load video or something like that error, go to settings in your chrome browser and enable hardware decoding if it's somehow disabled.

Hi, are you able to get stable resolution? Mine the resolution is not constant. Keep changing from good quality to blurry. However, on the Astro Go app is fine.

same v my case
Using Win 10 chrome to watch world cup astro go.
frequently cant play, had to reset network n the quality always in 480p then sometimes will back to hd but jz for few minutes.
But when i use android app to watch via same network. everything run smoothly.

Anyone have any idea ?
P/S: tried all the solution posted in this topic still facing same problem

I'm using it with my android TV box and ipad.
Android seems disconnected frequently and sometimes can't reconnect back.

But on my ipad is smooth and clear. No disconnection at all.

Seems like the app is buggy for android.

I've mentioned in my earlier post that it only works with Firefox v51.0. I'm facing the same problem as you when using Chrome.

I found out that I have this problem only with Celcom Wireless Broadband. When I switch to Maxis, TM and UMobile I can watch Astro on the go with no problem through Chrome

all these errors are gone when i disabled my antivirus and permits all connections in firewall. u may be vulnerable aftert his, but hey it allows astro the check for license as they use the DRM, and it needs to be able to validate the connection. with antivirus + firewall, this DRM check cant be done thus video would be unplayable.

Yup, when buffering video it will. Show geo.restriction

hi,

anyone encounter this issue? the aotg app will hang (circle ping icon), after watching for about 30-45 min. i'm using minix u9h. thanks

any idea why mine is always stuck at loading only? i am using my company laptop to watch. i used to have administrator account access if i log in it can load no problem.

i tried disabling antivirus but didnt work also

Try uninstalling the plugin, extension, etc and clear everything. And then reinstall. Do note that it might consume one of the slot. (I suspect that it will regenerate the DRM key when you reinstall)

Seem like yes. I uninstall the astro extension also can view.
But have other problem maybe unrelated.
When watch OnDemand Drama, such as Princess Agents, I click SEE ALL to watch earlier episode, but all jump to last episode 58.
Anyone can help verify?

Using computer PC.
