Houthi forces have shot down an Apache helicopter belonging to Saudi Arabia in the Yemeni province of Hudaydah, the pro-Houthi al-Masirah television network reported.

The incident allegedly took place in the Hudaydah’s Bayt al-Faqih district on March 16.

On January 25, Houthi forces downed another Apache helicopter belonging to the Saudi-led coalition in the Dhubab district of the province of Ta’izz.

Benghazi: A fighter jet of forces loyal to a Libyan military strongman was shot down today as it attacked jihadist positions in Benghazi, a military source said.

"A MiG-21 was shot down by a heat-seeking missile," said Mohammad Ghunem, spokesman for the forces of strongman Khalifa Haftar, who is battling to oust jihadists from Libya's second city.
"The plane, targeted by terrorist groups, crashed in the district of Suq al-Hut but its pilot survived."

He said the jet was hit as it carried out a raid on the last bastion of "extremists" in the city's Mediterranean seafront district of Al-Saberi.
The pilot, Adel Abdullah Bushisha, was able to eject and landed by parachute in the east of the city, he said.

Ukraine's Defense Ministry said a military helicopter has crashed in the eastern Donbas region, killing 5 people aboard.

The ministry said the crash happened March 26 near Kramatorsk, the headquarters of the military operation against Russia-backed separatists in the eastern part of the country.

Two crew members and three passengers died when the Mi-2 copter crashed after apparently flying into some power lines, the ministry said.

A military fighter jet that left Joint Base Andrews Wednesday morning crashed about two miles south.

US Air Force officials told Fox News that an F-16 from DC National Guard went down south of National Harbor in Maryland near Andrews Air Force Base.

The pilot inside ejected safely and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The pilot's condition is unknown.

"The pilot ejected safely in an unpopulated area. More information will be provided as it's available," a US Air Force official told Fox News.  

Prince George County firefighters confirmed on Twitter they were responding to a fighter jet crash in the Clinton, Maryland area.

The morning after it was reported that some 100 Navy instructor pilots are refusing to fly due to concerns about hypoxia-like problems in the cockpits of T-45 training jets, service officials announced that Naval Air Forces has directed a three-day "safety pause" for the T-45 aviation community.

The temporary pause, which will run from Wednesday through Friday, will allow time for the Navy's aviation leadership to speak with the pilots, listen to their concerns, and discuss ongoing risk mitigations, Naval Air Forces spokeswoman Cmdr. Jeannie Groeneveld said in a statement provided to Military.com.

An Air Force helicopter crashed in this municipality of the state of Mexico, presumably due to a mechanical failure.

It is an MD530, with registration number 10317, according to military reports, used for reconnaissance or patrolling.

The incident left no casualties or fatalities, although severe damage to the device. So far, the National Defense has not disclosed the reasons for the accident.

Two Iraqi army pilots were killed on Thursday when their helicopter was shot down over the city of Mosul by Islamic State, according to a military statement.

The helicopter was providing air support to Federal Police forces battling Islamic State fighters on the western side of Mosul, the statement said.

It is the first aircraft downed by Islamic State over Mosul since the start of the U.S.-backed offensive on the northern Iraqi city, in October.

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Army’s Mushshak aircraft crash-landed in Painda Khan village of Mattani on the outskirts of Peshawar on Thursday.

Police said the trainer aircraft was on a routine flight when it’s engine developed a technical fault, and the pilot had no option but to crash-land.

A Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion crashed Wednesday near the Barry M. Goldwater Range in Yuma, Ariz., but none of the five Marines aboard the helicopter were injured, according to a spokesman for the Corps’ Weapons and Tactics Instructors Course.

The helicopter, based at the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., crashed about 1 p.m. Mountain time while flying a training mission in support of the course, said 1st Lt. Gabriel Adibe.

The extent of the helicopter's damage has not yet been determined, Adibe said, and the cause of the crash is being investigated.

Six MiG-23 fighter jets were destroyed in the US missile strike on a Syrian airfield in Homs province, but the runway remained intact, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The strike on the Shayrat airfield in Syria’s Homs Province destroyed a material storage depot, a training facility, a canteen, six MiG-23 aircraft in repair hangars and a radar station.

The runway, taxiways and the Syrian aircraft on the parking apron remained undamaged, Russia’s Defense Ministry spokesman said in a statement.

Serbia's defense ministry says an air force jet has crashed in western Serbia, killing its two crewmembers.

The ministry says the G-4 trainer aircraft crashed in western Serbia, near the village of Slatina, Friday morning, during a routine training flight. It says the two pilots died in the crash.

The G-4 Super Galeb (Seagull) was made in Yugoslavia in the 1980s in a factory in Mostar, Bosnia. The cause of the crash is being investigated.

Witnesses say the jet was flying low over the area before swooping down toward the ground. Mileta Mladenovic, whose house is near the scene, says "everything shook" when the plane crashed.

An army helicopter has crashed in Greece leaving four military officers injured and another hurt.

The Greek military helicopter went down at Sarantaporo on Wednesday morning with the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (GEETHA) reporting that five officers were aboard the helicopter.

Three days national mourning have been declared in Greece by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.

The victims have been named as deputy commander Ioannis Tzanidakis, Colonial Thomas Adamou, Major Demosthenis Goula and Lieutenant Konstantinos Hatzis. The lone survivor has been named as being First Sergeant Vasiliki Plexida.

Her injuries are said to be serious but she is out of danger.

Cyprus has expressed it deepest regrets and condolences to the Greek government and the families of four Greek officers killed after the helicopter they were flying in crashed.

A helicopter carrying 12 people, including seven police officers, a judge, a sergeant and three crew members, has crashed in Turkey's eastern Tunceli province.

Tunceli Governor Osman Kaymak announced that there were no survivors of the crash, and that the bodies of the passengers and crew members were found by thre rescue crews.

Military helicopters landed at crash site and rescue crews reached the helicopter wreckage after battling with poor weather conditions for almost four hours.

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) -- The Saudi-led military coalition fighting in Yemen said one of its helicopters crashed in eastern Yemen on Tuesday, killing 12 Saudi officers in one of the deadliest incidents for the kingdom's troops since the war began more than two years ago.

The Black Hawk helicopter crashed in the eastern province of Marib, the coalition said, adding that it is investigating the circumstances. The incident happened as U.S. Defense Secretary James Mattis arrived in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to discuss the Yemen war with Saudi leaders.

Two Iraqi Air Force (IqAF) pilots were hospitalised on 17 April when their Utva Lasta 95N piston-engined initial/basic training and light attack aircraft crashed shortly after take-off from Imam Ali airbase (former Tallil airbase), located 20 km southwest of Nasiriyah in southeastern Iraq.

The aircraft had reportedly just taken off on a training flight when it suffered engine problems, crash landed and was damaged beyond repair.

The crashed plane was one of 20 Lasta 95N aircraft that Iraq procured from Serbia between 2009 and 2011.

A military helicopter crash lands on a golf course in the middle of the day in Maryland, leaving one crew member dead and two others hospitalized Monday night.

It’s the second military aircraft to crash in Maryland in less than two weeks. The Black Hawk helicopter went down, just after 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon in Leonardtown, Saint Mary’s County.

The last update from the army said one crew member was in serious condition, the second surviving crew member is in critical condition.

A Black Hawk helicopter slammed into a golf course Monday afternoon, with three crew members were trapped inside. One of the crew members has died from their injuries.

An Army-owned Mushshak aircraft experiencing a 'technical failure' crashed into a tree in Kalowal near Jhelum on Tuesday, police said.

The aircraft was on a routine flight when it crashed into a tree and was fully damaged in the crash, District Police Officer (DPO) Chaudhry Ulfat said.

The two pilots aboard the aircraft, Col Fazlur Rehman and Captain Afan are safe, Ulfat added.

Two Lesotho soldiers have died when an army helicopter they were flying in, hit power cables in Thaba Putsoa in the highlands of Lesotho.

Another soldier and an official of the Ministry of Finance have been admitted to hospital with serious injuries.

They were delivering pensions.

A MiG-31 fighter jet crashed in eastern Siberia on Wednesday, the TASS news agency cited the Defence Ministry as saying.

The plane's two pilots managed to safely eject when the interceptor jet crashed in Buryatia, a sparsely populated region, and nobody was hurt.

TASS cited the ministry as saying the plane had come down in a special training area.

Amman, Apr. 26 (Petra) -- A Cobra helicopter Wednesday crashed into the ground, due to technical failure during a training trip in the Al Ghabawi area, eastern Amman, according to an official source at the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)- Arab Army.

The source said the helicopter pilot and copilot were forced to make an emergency landing but the helicopter hit the ground and caught fire, noting that the crew managed to successfully get out of it.

The pilots were rushed to the Al Hussein Medical City and they are now in good condition.
