Hey,guys!I'm looking for a laptop too....Jz wondering is the Toshiba A60-S131 model that comes with a Celeron D 2.8Ghz,256MB(plan 2 upgrade later),40GB,DVD/CDRW,14.1 XGA,ATI RADEON 7000IGP(Shared Memory i think unsure.gif ) only for RM3399,is it worthy?Coz I'm jz looking for 1 laptop for normal use like doing Assignment n maybe playing some games.I'm not a hardcore gamer so the graphic card is not really a factor.Wat I'm going 4 is the features, coz I see Toshiba has more features on this model....can any give me any recomandation?Coz my budget if possible not more than RM3600 cry.gif

Actually I kinda think 256ram is enough 2 run Win XP...I been running on my Desktop 4 quite long.Using Pentium III 533Mhz,256MB,84GB(7200)..........Runs quite fast I can say...Maybe 4 me only that is XD.Lol,I usually on my computer 24/7 n maybe it is how u use the Win XP.It will consume quite a lot of RAm is u r running a lot of background service....BTw,laptop only comes with 5400 HDD right? There is no such thing as 7200 HDD.I heard it b4,but it seems it drains the laptop power to much.Anyone out there uses a laptop with 7200 HDD?

@lacus this is a LAPTOP thread not a desktop.256mb is the minimum for a desktop to run win xp but for laptops, sum of them hav shared graphics memory. so lets say 64 shared graphic memory means 256-64 your system running on less then 200mb or ram la

@NV20 very hard to get i asked a few shop all dun sell n also the price really a bank robber

well.. i want to get a notebook for my study..
budget is <RM6000

what i will do most with my laptop would be some programming, multimedia such as flash, director, graphics editing, a little bit of gaming.. most important thing is with wireless features!

i prefer something like toshiba, ibm or hp/compaq

which one is better.. what i heard most is ppl telling u toshiba and ibm would be the best.. so, which one?

thanks

So little buck, so little time. No, there won't be any good notebook at that price. If you want branded, the cheapest is Dell and Acer. My fren's Hyundai notebook is still doing well after few months. But the Windows XP is pirated one. Oh well, Twinhead also got cheap notebook. By the way, always look for Centrino. That's all I can say. Never ever buy AMD.
