Looking for a notebook recommendation.

Uses: Business presentation, office applications, Internet and simple multimedia playback (MP3s, AVIs etc.). ABSOLUTELY NO GAMING INVOLVED. Also requires DVD+CDRW

Price: Between 2.5 - 3.7k RM. On a tight budget.

Have checked out Dell Inspiron 510m, looks like a good buy - anyone want to give me their input?

Please recommend brand and model or give links so I can check it out. Thanks smile.gif

For business use, better get a Dell. It give you on-site warranty so that you don't have to wait for a few days to fix your notebook and you lose business. They'll fix on the spot and on that day. So Dell 510m is the best deal you can get IMHO.

Standard 256MB onboard ram is certainly NOT enough. Spare some more cash for ram upgrade. Another 256MB or more the better!

Me using a Compaq V1104, now with 1GB of Ram!..Superb!!. thumbup.gif

You need Citibank (or Maybank) credit card. Just ask Dell to you call you for Payment. Put in the comment that you want to pay in instalment.

Did you tried it? I went to Dell website just now. It seems like they stop the 0% instalment thingy. I'm not sure. Maybe you should ask Dell and see.
1 month ago I bought it, it still have. Now, its not there anymore. tongue.gif

It depends. If doing video streaming, slower than my 1.6GHz Dothan.
But play game, its good enuf. The price seems ok to me.
What brand? Is it Dothan?
