Adik saya pakai iriz 1.3 exec

Belum sampai 1,000km ada beberapa masalah :
1) Getah atas tercabut
2) Bunyi angin belah driver
3) Radio macam isyarat hilang2
4) Bunyik tik tik dekat dashboard
5) Dashboard sebelah senget

Solusi: hantar ke SC selesai no 1 dan 5 sahaja. No2,3,4 masih bermasalah dan timbul masalah yg lain.

Sampai masa 1,000km hantar servis.
Ulang balik komplen no.2,3,4 dan tambah :

6) Kedengaran mcm bunyik bearing belah belakang/rear kiri
7) power window xnak naik2 secara auto

Solusi :
2) Bunyik angin sebab turbulence angin sbb awak pasang door visor ( kelakar pon ada sbb kereta dekat rumah ada pakai door visor, xde pon bunyik)
3)Kene cabut tunggu sampai 7hari utk radio exchange. _ xbuat sbb nampak kosong je.
4) masih bunyi sampai skrg
6) masih bunyi sampai skrg
7) settle

5,000 km pulak. ada penyakit baru:
8) speedometer xgerak, diam je kat bawah. meter rpm je naik/bergerak.
9) viper washer belah kanan, pancut sikit je air.
masalah 2-6 masih tidak dapat di settlekan.

Ada bantuan pakar x?
semuanya di hantar ke SC area NS.

getah atas tercabut ni common issue ke?..aku pun dah masuk 4 bulan getah tercabut, tepon SC sana sini sume kata nak order parts dulu tp smp skg tak sampai2..komplen kat proton i care dorang rekomen suh call SC ni tp jawapan ttp sama, kena order parts

2. Memang pasang door visor akan ada bunyi angin sbab turbulence. Tu sbab I x pasang.

9. Mungkin hose washer dah nk tercabut. Masalah biasa. Cuba check hose. Klau asyik mcm tu, pakai zip tie untuk ketatkan hose. I dah buat macam tu sbab hose washer kiri I dulu asyik tercabut.

anyway, ps3 is really a stickier tire, until now it still throw tiny stones around the tire well, which usually one only experienced it when going thru new road surface where the tar is still sticky. but i could see this piece wear much faster than my XM2. But this is not a direct comparison as iriz is around 200kg heavier than myvi with higher torque. just wish it could last at least 40k km haha.

Even though mine is old 2014 1.3 Std, I guess I am lucky,

1. Never tercabut till now
2. I knew beforehand from last car those visor will cause a wind noise so did not install that.
3. Rarely listen to radio. People said the stock antenna might one of the cause but anyway stock 1.3 HU was average so I already changed to better aftermarket one. But after that new radio never got signal problem with the same antenna, so...
4. Rattling? 1st few month there was but somehow the noise subside by itself. Never complain to SC since it might be worse later. Now occasionally got if only the road too rough.
5. Dont have this problem. Glove box at 1st is OK but slowly become a bit misaligned since I keep it fully loaded with stuff for looong time. But you can twist it back later.
6. Dont have this problem.
7. I dont think mine got auto up for Std variant. No really a bother.
8. Dont have this problem.
9. Dont have this problem. By the usual case of early batch should more susceptible to this but still the hose hold well for me so far without needing zip tie.

FYI, kat rumah ada 2 kereta yg ada door visor, xada masalah.

err , tertinggal satu lagi problem.
tak sampai seminggu, aircond rosak. on/off sesuka hati. sedih.
Hantar di SC, aircond blower rosak.
kecewa sebab kereta baru, expect xde major problem macam ni.
plus, yg problem sy list tu.

2) Err, ada 2 kereta di rumah pakai door visor, tp tiada masalah bunyi .
4)Rattling tu masih berbunyi sehingga sekarang.
5)x letak apa2 dalam dahsboard up until now kecuali buku servis. masih kelihatan sedikit senget walaupun sudah di betulkan di SC.

Kalau tepon, action dia mesti akan ckp order barang kot.

some car are designed without door visor and already got aerodynamic flow suitable for the expected noise..

for example new car like iriz

old cars usually incorporate the visor as part of the aerodynamic features in the design..

maybe that is why some car are ok some are not

Here's an update for my tyre story.

I went to SC yesterday expecting to do alignment and balancing at RM57 hoping to solve my steering wiggle issue, was told that my front tyres botak already and rear tyre also nearly the same. I went into the hunt of tyre in the internet, and here's my research.

Initially I target Toyo NE3 or Dunlop D05 (Thanks for Chikuera's comment/research lol), the price fluctuate a lot depend on which shop I went. Later on, was told that Dunlop D05 only for 15inch tyre whereas the 14inch should use Dunlop J5. So I went and did some research on the J5, not really a lot of info I could find about the J5, but all in all the reviews looks good and value for money. In the end, I got an offer of RM115 pre GST for Dunlop J5 compare to RM140 pre GST for Continental CC6 / Toyo NE3. On the way to the shop I was thinking to choose Toyo NE3 because that received quite a lot of good review here, whereas the CC6 review claim that it is very comfort but easily kena punctured. However, once I reach the shop, I repeatly ask the workshop guy what is the difference between J5, CC6, and NE3, the guy claim that they are quite the same. Because of this, I've chosen J5 in the end.

Mini review of Dunlop J5:

I think it is a little bit quieter than the stock M3, dry grip is the same for me, but what amaze me is the wet grip and handling. Usually with the M3 when passing through water puddle I will instinctly hold tight to the steering to prevent hydroplaning, but with the Dunlop J5, I barely feel anything at all when passing through water puddle (Maybe the water puddle was not deep enough too). All in all I am happy with what I pay for, compare to the RM233 of the Michelin XM2 I was quoted in the SC, Dunlop J5 is a steal.

Anyway, during the change of the tyres, was told that my chamber screw senget already and I should change it asap, was quoted RM70, RM90, RM150 .

I didn't opt to change it as I recall someone said in LYN that it is not as important as they make you believe.

So based on below photo, should I change my chamber screw? and what is the market price?

i'm also eyeing on J5 and LM704. also from Dunlop

on their website, J5 is more to basic performance tire with good grip, handle and braking for wet and dry while sacrificing a bit of noise..so quite surprise when you say it is quiet but compared to stock M3, of course la

Lm704 is for economy tire for comfort, less noise and longer life..no mention on the performance tho..

for now, thanks to you, probably going to get the J5

Hahaha, I saw your comment too late already, but thanks to this thread I am more aware to not being cheated. There is 1 shop I requested Dunlop D05 and he say got and quoted me RM180 pre gst. I clocked 40k with the M3 thats why I compare with it lol.

Anyway, if Shah Alam is no issue for you you could go for the workshop I went, go fb and search for Chor Sam tyre and sport rim, I think this is the cheapest shop I found.

The steering light suddenly lit up today. How to fix it? Need to go sc? Is it safe to drive the car for now? Tq.
