Thanks, anyway wanted to double check with you master if my understanding on below is correct?
“A way that can be walked
is not The way,
A name that can be named
is not The Name
- what we see or heard might not be trueThings that can be described may not be the truth as the truth is beyond words.
To explain in simple way, we cant describe how we r able to shut our auditory senses which is outward bound n turn it inwards. Im able to do that easily. I can hear many things in my body. But i dont know how to describe the way to turn the auditory senses inward. I believe many meditators felt the same.
When we reached a certain level and touched a certain dimension, suddenly you realized we can perceive even more of the real world than what our body can perceive now. In other words, we’re no longer limited by our physical body. And you realized you cant relate that w normal people. They will think you’re a weirdo and a fool.
That is why many enlightened people in the past doesnt speak much. Or done in cryptic ways. They drop many hints in the world if you pay enough attention just as you pay attention to your body in your early discovery of yourself. More hints are in the scriptures. These are meant to wake people up and to assist truth seekers who’re on their way closer to enlightenment.
QUOTE
Tao is both Named and Nameless
As Nameless, it is the origin of all things
As Named, it is the mother of all things - there are things we had and haven't discovered, things we haven't discovered is the origin, things we discovered is the beginning. An example I can think of is gravity force, during Laozi time, gravity isn't known to him. It's indeed an origin and also the beginning since we learned about it.
Our human eyes can only see limited things. And the visible forms are manifestation of the invisible things.
So, we’re missing out on a whole lot more which are not visible to our senses.
QUOTE
A mind free of thought,
merged within itself,
beholds the essence of Tao
A mind filled with thought,
identified with its own perceptions,
beholds the mere forms of this world - this is as per your advise, free the mind we will see further and closer to tao
The mind is a collection of memory which is from the outside world; not us. What we collected can be yours but it is not you. Heard of this? So, we free true self by not recognizing that the body and thoughts are not the real us. Once you distanced youself from the two, you begin to see your true self. You are just like the sky, always there, pure and aware. Thougts are just like the clouds. And we’ve been chasing clouds the whole time. Even get tangled in it unnecessarily. When you begin to see the clouds, you realized you’re watching it from a distance; not inside of it. Then you become clear what it is, and who you are.
QUOTE
Tao and this world seem different
but in truth they are one and the same
The only difference is in what we call them - there is only 1 truth, regardless of many different perceptions (named)
From Hinduism to Buddhism to Taoism... there are 84000 ways and methods to the truth. Eventually, we found union with all
