I'm still not good at using D9 with DT.

I still prefer Machamp, Ty and Exegg against Blissey....

but ty's CP is too high now, cannot be used for prestige, only take down.

TSOM you find blissey with dg and practice timing with dt d9.. Sure improve fast. Lol...

I met some players around a gym, asked them about their tips to fight Blissey.

One lvl39 player said, use Flareon or Arcanine. I was like.....

only 1 guy likes using D9, the rest doesn't really use D9 as attackers.

What do the rest normally use then?
Actually, flareon with fs oh is rated as atker against blissey. But too flimsy la. Die fast imo.

I do use 91% Flareon (FS/OH) against Blissey ... it will survive if able to dodged the charged attacks. So I always bring 2 Flareons (just in case)

It could be that their D9 is mostly used for parking (u did mention about them powering even crap moveset)

FS/OH Flareon does the even slightly better damage than a DT/OR D9 if I recall.

I'm into Dragonites for everything for very simple reasons.

Dragon moves are effective against everything except steel and fairy. Both are not meta so they work well against everything

Dragon/Flying is weak to dragon, rock, fairy and ice. Only thing have to be really careful are dazzling gleams.


Other than being more fragile, Flareon are also weak to ground, rock, water and its fire moves are not very effective againsts rock, fire, water, dragon.

Dragonites can be gym sitters.

So IMO, spending hard earned stardust on D9 is much better value than spending it on Flareon.... at least at the moment.

That's so sad... pumped so much dust and candies into D9s and there will be a limit (possibly 1 per gym as you mentioned). Fire types i think flareon has the highest max cp potential, so yeah, probably might need to waste dust there after rework released.

Agree with your theory on D9.
Recently did a test out between a lev30 d9 (DB/DC), flareon(FS/OH) and macham(CC/DP) with max out blissey (ZH/DG) cp31xx. D9 and flareon is actually very close match.

Ak9 is highest.

Last time yes... now Flareon 2.9K.. AK9 2.8K max

Get 6 best D9 for attacking and good Snorlax and Blissey for gym sitter is my strategy

for current gym, 6 offensive d9 and as many as high cp tyranitar for gym sitting...

Trya bank is not for defense purpose la adoi.. it's know for good in attack but very bad in defense. i see tyra bank no up when attacking gym. most i feared is blissey and snorlax with high HP and short charge move.

Now can la... when limits are introduced, it will be tough to find gyms with no blissey, snorlax, D9, T9. Right?
Just say the limit is 1 species per gym, if i see a level 5 gym and based on the mons that i have currently, what chance do i have to get into that gym and hope to hold it until can collect more gyms (don't say days... LOL).

T9 not diff to defeat, may be a bit tricky if prestiging, but def doable.
The purpose of T9 and D9 in gym placement is only to hide behind skirt and f*t @ss... LOL...

dun have any 3k snorlax. only got top 2 which are 28xx and 27xx. bliseey got 27xx 23xx and 19xx... sigh..... since niantic changed the IV and CP and other stats become random i hardly got 3k above liao. that's why need to spend on stardust to power the CP. i still yet to power up on any of my snorlax but that 27xx blissey i got power up for gym sitting purpose. LOL
