Yes. Check with your respective banks to find out if their atm card can be used or not. I've only asked CIMB, MBB and PBB. PBB can't use ATM card to withdraw money oversea.

just get a debit card that link to your saving account, and activate the PLUS/CIRRUS function. you can withdraw money everywhere whenever you out of money~ Maybank Visa Debit and public visa electron serve me well~ biggrin.gif
*
Just for avoidance of confusion, do note that PBB (with caveat) can indeed be used to withdraw money overseas icon_rolleyes.gif
Some bank employees simply don't know enough about their own products.

Just make sure that it is the PBB Day2Day Visa (Electron) which is an ATM cum Debit Card. I can attest to that as my fiancée has the card...which has the Visa Plus logo. You can also refer to item 3(iv) of the PBB link re-posted below.

Well, im heading to taiwan at 15 - 17th April. Anyone are heading at this time?

Because we are finding 2-3 people can share our driver fees, whole day 24 hrs at taipei is RM200 per car / driver, instead of 2 of us going, find more people so we can share the fees smile.gif if anyone is going.

going for 5 days and 4 nights but we only got 3 full days to tour taiwan.
Is it enough to travel around taipei's interesting places for 2 whole days and another day to outskirts such as tarako gorge? But will forget about it if the travel to tarako time consuming and cost a lot unless it's worth visitng...need yr guys' opinion

Is taipeizoo worth visiting? no one mention about it....

Taroko Girge will be 1 full day..as you wikk be spending atleaast 5-6hrs on the train return journey.

So you only having 2 days in Taipei.. You can do-it by skipping Some nearby Taipei attraction such as Jiufen & Yehliu.

For me, I still choose Taroko over other part of Taipei rclxms.gif

Instant noodle slightly expensive if I can recall. not much souvenirs in taipei, the city not really cater for tourist compare to bangkok, Phuket or Bali..

The most famous tart is their pineapple tart _ well for me, nothing special-lah biggrin.gif

after browsing more than 100 pages here about taiwan trip, here's is my planned travel for 5D4N or to be exact 3 full days...we stayed in New World hotel near xi menting

Day 1
Can I go all these places jiufen-beitou-yehliu-wharf-lover's bridge in one day plus nite market?

Day 2
1 full day to tarako perhaps? But budget wise and time I will just forget about it and replaced with Yang ming shan, CKS hall and around taipei will do?
How much the overall trip from XMD to Hualien-Tarako if we go in 3 ppl and high speed train? wanna try it out

Day 3
Shopping whole day (SOGO and etc) and taipei zoo plus nite market?

Pls give some guidance thanks.

Air Asia will drop the price once they start their sales. From past history, promo tickets to Taipei can be as low as RM250 till RM400 inc of tax.

For fee schedule check here:
