Not bad but thus not for a picky me. I trade only one or two stocks per year, so I am extremely selective.

Don't ever handicap your trading.
There's no brownie points if you trade it in the shortest time ever or you trade it in the longest time ever.
The issue is to trade it correctly as best you could.

yes, you don't need fundamental analysis but if you think about it, perhaps it could give you an added edge compared to those traders who ignores them and with such edge, it allows the trader to be more selective. For me, I trade very rarely, maybe one or two stocks per year, sometimes none. It allows me to be the lcly trader who is super choosy with the trades I make....

For your info, based on my paper trading track record, I suck at being an active trader. So I have to adapt and be a trader who uses fundamentals very extensively when I trade.

Can do it the half bucket way...

Paper traded a long time with all sort of indicators and combo indicators too......learned to develop what I can do and avoid what I am not good at.

Charts are important part of my trading setup but however, I do not like the chart to lead me into a trading position. It's a no-no. (Again it's a personal preference as I am talking about me. Yes, we will trade differently and I hope you understand this and I do not have to parrot repeat this. )

Anyway, this is what's happening, as far as I can see...

That steep plunge in end Oct. It went from a close of 30 sen to a close of 15.5 sen. The floor just gave way. Ya, the stock DID recover but such movement does not install any confident in the stock and what's worst is the news broke out that there was massive short selling...

And yes, company started making losses too..... and debts built up too (see below link)

Now how did the company get into this mess? As I knew long time ago, Seacera was a fairly decent tile manufacturer.... and since when did Seacera got involved property?!!

Given the financial state of the company, this is a rescue package. But it comes at a cost. Lots of new shares will be issued.....

which I guess it's understandable why the shares is kept high... but for me, what's next after all this?

Tiles making is not a sexy industry to be in atm (yilai losing money, kimhin losing money..)

and after all these share are issued, will future earnings even justify the share price?


For me, I find too much risk involved. Speculatively, the share could be driven higher to seduce the private placement but fundamentally, I am not comfortable at all.....

Will I be seduced into a trade? Most likely not.

My style is one shot, one kill. Hence, I shy away from iffy stocks. Yeah but it can be very challenging since as we know, any stock, no matter how good or bad, they can goreng upside, upside down, downside up...

Most stocks can be grouped. I call it Happy Family.

For example, teoseng will belong to eggy stocks.

So...

1. Look for all eggy players..........
2. Can you find the leader of the pack? WHICH bugger up sibeh geng?......
3. Look see MalaysiaStockBiz and click on the financial table... you spot the trend? ie do you see the sector all green green.
4. Checkout how long the trend is? Is it fairly new or fairly matured?
5. Compare to the stock you are looking at. Is it the best? Second best? etc etc..

1. Profits HAD been poor but for both companies have shown positive improvement the last 2 quarters. One cannot live in the past and the market prices stocks to their future profitability. The most recent 2 quarters is but a positive indicator. Something one could speculate and bet on that earnings will be better.

2. Sales had been erratic and poor, which coincided with the improvement in the ringgit a while back. That obviously killed the export theme. And in a market especially like Malaysia, economic trends do not last forever. When the trend was in its mature stages, it would be wise to leave on any sign of weakness. Did you not spot this for export oriented stocks? When ringgit strengthened from 4.20 to 4..what were you thinking then?

3. What the main factor now? Oil. Despite its improvement lately, the oil prices are still low and would benefit petroleum based products such as resin, film and plastics. Check out others too.

4. No cups no handles for both. It doesn't pay to be too imaginative..
